    Great video as always! I do have a question for you though, would you ever do a vlog following a single tadpole/froglet?? I think that would be super cool especially if it were one you were going to keep!!!

      I thought about building one too, but with the cost of wood these days I figured I would save some time and just go this route...

    Oh wow thank you for answering my question in a video and giving me a shout out. This was very interesting. I was wondering what you where going to get for new shelves. That baker's rack is really cool. Love how many shelves you can have. I guess the parental care is very important in Ranitemaya like touch is important in human babies. I didn't know mason jars came in a half size. I'll have to look for that now. Very cool. Ha, I hand wash all my dishes so I have been reusing my plastics. No problems for me to wash dishes plastic or glass. Your videos are very helpful and informative and I like seeing your set ups. Gives me ideas. I have good news. My first tadpole got all four legs today and crawled out of the water. Soon I can put it in a grow out tank. It's an Epipedobates anthonii Santa Isabel.

    I just started doing research for dart frogs that I want to get in the near future! Your videos are extremely informative and have been so helpful!
    New subbie! So forgive me if you’ve explained this in the past; can you make a video on your process and/or suggestions on what to do when you plan on going away for more than 2 days or your tips for interested future frog owners on this matter so they are aware of the responsibility prior to going into it?

    • @NorthernFrogger

      Great suggestion! A guide about how to leave your frogs for vacation is definitely a high priority for a future video!

      Hi! Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you mean here... Could you try rephrasing the question? If you're asking about feeding frequency, I usually feed my tadpoles about twice per week.

    Hi ....for your tadpole & juvenile water changes - do you use tap or RO....If it's tap do you use a de-chlorinator - if its RO do you add any mineral ? Enjoy the vids...

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use RO water, I don't add anything to it, but I do let it age exposed to air for a few days before using it for tadpoles

    Do you have a link to the white cups you use under the coconut hides?

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't unfortunately... I got them from a local pet store and they don't seem to be on their website either. They are meant as like mealworm feeder cups though if that helps, they came with a little ring that clips on the top to make a lip so the mealworms can't crawl out, but I just removed that part. I can't really find anything equivalent online at the moment though...

    What does a bad egg look like compared to a good egg?

    • @NorthernFrogger
      @NorthernFrogger  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually a good egg will be a nice round black ball inside of the jelly. Within a few days you should start to see the tiny tadpole starting to develop on top of the ball. A bad egg will usually turn white or cloudy within a couple days and start to lose the nice round shape
