16:14 OK yes we all know our pitches are not great but how come players from phoenix,school boy football,JPL etc have been performing on these same pitches.
We unfortunately don't have the government or private sector suppose to upgrade our pitches so he needs to learn to adjust his game when he plays here.
Further more he hasn't done as well for the national team on international pitches so I don't think it's the facilities.

What is absolutely clear is that Leon Bailey has a passion for the national team. You have to respect his status as a STAR player and accommodate that. You see it in Argentina with Messi, Brazil with Neymar and Portugal with Ronaldo. These players cannot be expected to operate the same as other players because of their status and potential contribution. The JFF is also learning - never had to accommodate a STAR player with the tact that is required. The team is imploding and less ego would go a long way in preventing the missed opportunity of fielding our best team for the Nations League, Copa America and WCQ . I respect his comments because that is where the solution starts.

As someone who played soccer, I know how hard it is to play on fields that are not up to par vs a better pitch. Your performance is definitely, going to be different. Craig Butler is a professional and he has proven his worth. Jamaica seen what he is capable of doing and he should be given the chance to work in the decision-making section of the JFF. As a former track and field “pro athlete” I agree with you 10000000% Mr Bailey. You are RIGHT ON POINT! Jamaican people love the hype from their mouths but when they need to tap out of their pockets it’s another conversation. If Jamaica were to support their athletes the way MANY of these other CARIBBEAN countries support theirs, we would have been better off. Encouragement breeds labor, and when an athlete have to decide b/w buying food and paying rent then that’s a tough one. The day Jamaican people REALLY sees their athletes as human beings who like everybody else who require BASIC NEEDS to thrive and survive will be the day when they start supporting them and also the day when the athletes will be in the right place MENTALLY and will be able to perform to their fullest potential.
