Im a nurse who just had it you can test positive for up to 90days. After 5 if are asymptomatic you can go out w mask x5 days. If symptomatic, you should isolate another 5 days. No neg test is needed bc u can test positive for weeks. Glad you feel good Tim!
Agree. I'm a nurse and we have had patients test positive for months. Follow CDC guidelines.
That’s why the cruise line will accept a letter of recovery if tested positive with 90 days.

You can test positive for weeks with a PCR or NAAT test. Home antigens only test for contagious period which is why they give false negatives. An antigen test, like the home ones, should not be giving positives for weeks.

Something I thought about while you were talking about people staying home and isolating with Covid, is that many people went to work when they had covid because they couldn’t afford to stay home. It was so hard when my husband got it at Christmas and missed an entire week of work, we had to go to the food bank. It’s hard to isolate when you’re impoverished. I wish we didn’t have to choose between possibly getting someone else sick or not being able to pay rent😥
Back in 2020, I read books, and went to parks. Tried to get sunshine, it always helped!

You asked what ppl do in quarantine, well I am day 7 today (and still positive and symptomatic) and I have passed the time rewatching your cruise vlogs and Tokyo Disneyland trip 🤣. To be honest I haven’t the stamina for anything else so that goodness for TH-cam. 👍

As a teacher thank you for shedding some light on teachers. I spend countless money each year on things for my classroom. Some of my items on my wishlist had prime deals so I was able to save some money.
I continued to test positive for covid for about two weeks after my five days were up. I teach and teachers were actually getting tested during the year, but once you tested positive, they weren’t allowed to be tested for 3 months bc the positive can show up for that long. The doctor said you’re good to go after five days, and the next five to just mask up if you go out. Sending negative test vibes to you, Tim!
Glad that Tim is okay & feeling a little better. I think it would be so cool to see Disney come out & do 3D puzzles of the 4 Icons,Sleeping Beauty Castle & the Cruise Ships. Jackson is SO Fun to watch each vlog!

ROTFL at him licking, and biting the seeds out for Jenn!! No surprise here that Jackson is doing so well with letters/etc. Between him just being wicked smart, you guys being wonderfully nurturing parents who instill learning into his everyday life, and Lynn, how could he NOT be doing awesome? Seriously.

Thank you Tim and Jen mentioning About wishlist for teachers. As a teacher myself for pre-K most of my checks go right back into the classroom but I have to say I would not give this job up it’s rewarding to me to watch each child every year on how far there come .

Hi you guys! My sister and I were positive for Covid 2 weeks ago because we had the flu-like symptoms. We were stuck at home for almost 2 weeks. Once we downloaded 2 negative Covid home tests to the county of our workplace, the county of our workplace emailed my sister and I our clearance to return to work. We made our mom take the Covid home test twice, and luckily tested negative twice. It sucks to be stuck at home quarantining at home because my sister and I wanted to go to work, but we can’t. I hope for a speedy recovery for you Tim. Be safe, be careful and stay healthy.
My husband just got done with covid for the first time. He was positive for 14 days. He masked and was in the room most of the time. No one else in the house caught it. Hope you feel well soon 💙💙

I had Covid last week, as did my roommate. The first 3 days we were basically useless puddles. Felt like the flu. Then we felt better so we were just bored to be stuck at home. Took the dogs on lots of walks and watched a lot of Netflix. Wish I’d had a Lego set to put together to pass the time.
Glad you didn’t have much in the way of symptoms this time! Looked like you had some fun with your time at home.

My favorite part of todays video is when Tim complimented Jen on her cooking and she downplayed the compliment by saying”I just followed the recipe”, but then he went on to explain his compliment and helped her hear that he truly does think she is a good cook. I love the communication skills between Tim and Jen, it shows me how a great marriage with great communication really works. (I wish my husband talked to me the way Tim talks to Jen).
I don’t always agree with the content on this channel, but stuff like this is why I keep watching, you both set an amazing example of how marriage work! 💕💕

That Stranger Things set is so awesome!! I'm glad you're feeling better. When my son got Covid a few weeks ago he was still testing positive for about 10 days after he first tested positive. His pediatricians office said that he had to quarantine for 5 days and as long he was feeling better he could go out with a mask. He's negative now, yay! A Lego set is a great way to pass the time for sure. Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo

Jenn - I work for the county office in Accounts Payable for a school system, teachers aren't made to use their own money for their classroom items. Each school gets a budget at the beginning of each school year, they get one at the school level for them to spend at their digression where each teacher gets money to spend and then they have one for the district level. They also have each student bring items in at the beginning and halfway through the year if they need to be replenished. Teachers use Amazon wish lists to get extra goodies for their room. It's always wonderful for folks to purchase those items for teachers but if they use their own money it's usually because they choose to or because it's something above and beyond the scope of something they need and more for things they want. I hope this makes sense.

You are so right about helping teachers. My oldest daughter is 43 and we always had to send in a large list of items the teachers needed each year. We also had to give about $25 for the classroom. Teachers need all of our support because they definitely do not get paid what they are worth. So sad!

Thanks for talking about Clear The List! .... My husband is a teacher in a low income district. Each summer we have to hit the sales to buy 50-60 spiral notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, etc., because it's such a huge strain on families to get what their child needs.

I'm on day 5. Got back from DW and popped a positive. First time ever. Daughter was at my moms and is still negative and hubby is still negative. I've been watching TV, reading and the last 2 days floating in my little pool in the backyard.

We got covid around July 1st and had really bad symptoms. Me personally is still dealing with an ear issue. I tested negative after about 8 days and hubby was 2 weeks. Haven’t left the house is 3 weeks now. Hope all is better soon!!

Quarantining in my apartment was very hard once I felt well. Going for my day 7 retest was a treat! It was positive.😢Luckily I had a full tank & went for a couple short drives with my sun roof open.

I feel sorry for Tim being in isolation and going increasingly stir-crazy, but then again, it makes for an entertaining vlog 😂

I'm in isolation right now (tested positive last week), and I've been spending time catching up on my youtube subscriptions, reading, and sleeping. And applying for jobs, but that's a different matter.
And yes, Royal Caribbean Intl. is the cruise line itself. All of their ships are named "[something] of the Seas." This model looks like a Freedom class ship.

I came back from Disney on 6/24 and started with the itchy cough that day. Felt pretty bad with a fever the next night. Went for a pcr test the following day and tested positive. Finally had my pcr come back negative on day 17. Good luck.

Tim! The pumpkin is in the back of hoppers truck because in season one he was basically introduced to the upside down because he was sent to investigate a pumpkin patch that was completely rotten and moldy. Hope that helps!

Nice having extra time in quarantine, but also pretty lonely. Hoping you test negative soon Tim! But yeah I didn't go out (with mask) till after day 10.

Jenn, thank you for telling us about shopthelist. I hadn’t heard about it. You’re 1000% correct… it wrong that teachers are expected to use their own money to buy basic supplies not only for their classrooms but the kiddos in their classrooms.
I tested positive the week of my college graduation. I went to my graduation on day 6, masked when close to others but when we were farther apart (all outside) I unmasked. I didn't test negative until Day 16 or 17 (with omnicron).

I had it in January (different strain) and I was out of work for 3 weeks due to getting it, then different households getting it and then having to wait until they didn’t have signs anymore to go back to work and then my job refused to pay me. So now I am so far behind on my mortgage that I don’t know if I can get out from underneath it.
Hope you feel better and test negative soon. I never tested negative before being forced to go back to work but I did go back. Now we have 2 cases in my county of this Monkeypox. My job will treat it like a cold though, so I am certain it will get out of control before there is control.
