Gday Patrick, the only thing I did wrong when I made the machinist jack was I didn’t make a pair, something I still need to do, thanks for watching mate, cheers
The machinist jack turned out very nice, fine craftsmanship. I have never seen one with a two stage screw before. Great design it will come in very handy.
Gday Robin, when you make this make 2, i wish I did and I still haven’t got around to doing it yet, there very handy to have, thanks for watching and commenting mate, cheers
You can never have too many machinist jacks, that's for sure. I like your design too - I quite like the ones that Phil & Pierre gave me but thinking of taking the design you have there and scaling it up. Thanks for sharing!
Gday Everrett, the Phil and Pierre jacks are nice, I have been thinking of scaling the design up a little and making a pair, that’s a project for the future, Cher’s Matty
Very nice. That should come in really handy. Nicest Machinist Jack I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if I’m up to the level of being able to Machine one myself, but gonna try anyway. Great design Matty.
Thank's for sharing this build Matty, I will definitely be making one or two of these, I want one to sit on my bed and support my cut-off-tool, it will have a brass bottom to slide with the tool post. Great design!
Gday Glyn, I did a similar idea with my part off tool, I made a leg the screws underneath the tool and the bottom of the leg screws down to sit on top of the cross slide, hope I explained that right, I wasn’t able to part off because the rigidity wasn’t there and this made all the difference..
Nice work Matty. Going back through you older videos. This is another one for my To-Do list. Thanks very much for sharing.
