this is a f*cking fantastic guest. Thank you for brining him on, alsways loved Kayfabe Commentaries. I miss the old shoot days haha! 100% going to check out him and Nash's podcast
Golden episode as usual and I can listen to Sean Oliver all day!!! Speaking of which, please get Rick Martel on the podcast. He was and still is my top 5 favorite pro wrestler.
Getting Sean back for another 20 episodes would not bore anyone. I know I am a year late, but I loved watching Sean turn into the one doing the interviewing!
With regards to the screw job being a work, it was a work on Shawn and Vince's part so it makes every bit of sense to have the camera on Bret the minute the bells rings as this is what Vince would have wanted. Bret wasnt in on it though.
Great interview. Enjoyed _listening_ about the _shoot_ DVD industry and how things have progressed to current _podcasts_ . Surprise the guest _mr sean oliver_ did not get a chance to work for _wwe commentary_ ? Keep sharing
My favorite interviews that Sean ever did were with Waltman and Nash. Ironically some of my least favorite interviews, from other interviewers, were also with Waltman and Nash. Sean has a way with these guys that cannot be replicated. Kevin made the right choice going with him. Hopefully Waltman will realize this and bring him on his podcast as well.
I couldn't begin to ponder which of his interviews was my favourite. Thing he has that others that followed him don't is he could draw life out of a stone. When you have meek hosts like a lot of the aforementioned ones then you end up with a flat interview because they aren't able to coax info out of the wrestlers like Sean did with them. He managed to keep a New Jack shoot on track fgs. Or his interviews with the Honky Tonk Man lol One of his guests who I think would be great on your show Rene - Ivory. Never shuts up. My kind of gal.
Sean Oliver is to (Professional) Wrestling Shoot Interviews = is what Joe Rogan is, to Informative, Thought-Provoking, Controversial and Entertaining Podcasts
Hard to disagree on the whole Montreal deal. Vince and Bret not only worked the fans but they also managed to successfully work Turner into millions of dollars in Bret's contract.
At least he's back on the KC vault and the pod with Nash I suppose. But I loved the shoot interview times. KC only though I would never watch RF after that thing came out about him.....
I thought think Montreal was a work for the simple fact, Bret actually seems pissed and everyone always said he’s a mark for himself. I think they just took advantage of the sitch and magic was made
Of course Russo sold. Of course he did. Marks have no shame when it comes to their hypocrisy 😆 By the way, the shot of Bret writing WCW was not aired on the original PPV when it happened. They cut away. That image of Bret doing that was shown later by WWE during their retelling of the incidents. When Bret lost and they zoomed in on his face, tell me why they wouldn't show his reaction by zooming. Bret kept saying on camera in his promos as part of the angle that he was not going to lose in Montreal, especially to someone like Shawn. I would have done the same thing if I were the camera man.
It really doesn't make sense to think Montreal is a work. It's a rib from Hall and Nash, and now Oliver is joining in on it. C'mon guys. Bret went through years of hating McMahon and the company. Even when the tragedy with Owen happened. Do you really think Bret would've carried on the charade with Vince during this time.
@Rene the screwjob may have been a work but I don't think it was a masterplan by any means. Vince was smart enough to take the boss from hell role but I don't think it was all planned.
this is a f*cking fantastic guest. Thank you for brining him on, alsways loved Kayfabe Commentaries. I miss the old shoot days haha! 100% going to check out him and Nash's podcast
There's the KC vault on here as well mate.
@@OfficialFingazMC Thank you mate! brilliant!
Jesus THEE BEST INTERVIEW I've heard in a long time. That flowed even with the lag. JAMES great great job filling that time. Hats off men hats off
Everything about Sean Oliver screams "host." He oozes entertainment and is entertaining. Some of these "podcasters" have the personality of a snail.
Sean Oliver the god father of the wrestler shoot interviews and the Jim Cornette impression was spot on
"Its time for a game we do called. What's in the bag ?" - Sean Oliver
Thanks for doing these interviews, Rene. Its really the most down-to-earth podcast on the wrestling world.
Why the major companies aren’t utilising his mic skills is beyond my comprehension. Sean Oliver knows his stuff and his flow is effortless
This ⬆️
@@cafederene keep up the good work dude; in the ring and with podcasting
Just heard about this over at the Kayfabe Vault. Thanks for this, Sean is a legend in the shoot world!
Marvelous podcast. Sean Oliver is the epitome of charisma and charm.
Thank you for this interview, Rene. Sean was truly a pioneer in the shoot style interviews that we all know and love today.
This is almost like a dream for me I always thought Rene would've been a great guest for a YouShoot so this might be the closes thing to that
Big Kev is alright, I’ll definitely have a look at that new podcast. Have a few red wines extremely slowly in honour of Big Kev
Golden episode as usual and I can listen to Sean Oliver all day!!! Speaking of which, please get Rick Martel on the podcast. He was and still is my top 5 favorite pro wrestler.
We would love to have him
Fuck yeah! The Model would have some amazing stories to tell!!!
@@Dr.Dupree1510 No doubt about it!!

Great episode I love the you shoot interviews especially the RVD ones with Sean. Thanks James!
That's a great Cornette impression by Sean there
Probably the most accurate impression I've ever heard. Most people go full Mickey Mouse voice
Trudeau not being very well liked is the understatement of the century 😅
Great episode Rene & James. Keep the hits coming!
Think he was being modest

This and Paul London's are def top 2. Love seeing Sean get the respect he deserves.
Sean Oliver is so quick witted! Great show!
Rene would have been great for a timeline of wwe in 2004
Sean needs to get Cornette on. Would be funny to see him and Nash debate the Curtain call.
Great interviews from one on the Father’s of the Shoot interviews. Savvy business man, Sean Oliver
So Awesome you got Sean Oliver on here 💯
This was so awesome love Sean he’s so entertaining. This was my favorite episode so far! So good man!
I love the Harley Race story 😂 and the whole "Scott before ya kill em just sign this " is my favorite thing ever lmao 🤣😂

Thank you for this gem. Kid Kash now Sean, man keep it up.
Felt like this could have easily gone for another hour, great show.

Lol would love to have ivory on
Love Sean's work
You guys definitely gotta do a part 2. His Jim Cornette was sooooo funny 🤣🤣🤣
Sean Oliver has an eric bischoff vibe to him...would have made a great heel general manager of Raw back in the day.
Great interview thanks.
Great show Sean Oliver is hilarious 😂
the didn't really work out with buff bit was unbelievable.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
His Jim Cornette impersonation was golden
I would love to see a Timeline: The history of wwe year 2004 with Renee! Book it sean!!
2004 was a crazy year. Especially SmackDown with those crazy angles.
Another Great episode guys!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
The Ivory interview will always be my favorite, she was a smoke show.
Hope you’ve recovered from the burger thing Rene
Sean is a legend!

For hilarious Cornette impression.
Sean Oliver is a very cool dude !

Sean is the fuckin man how can you not love the guy
I love him
@@seanoliverbooks9560 Don’t love him too much, you’ll go blind.
A "Back To The Territories" segment on the Maritimes would have been cool with Cornette as the host and Rene as the guest/expert.
I would have loved that! I grew up on AGPW.
6:04, the interview begins
I don't watch this podcast because of the quality but I saw Sean Oliver and said "too interesting to not watch" great show
Kliq this
the only positive about KFC getting wiped out by the podcast boom is that Sean can talk candidly about his former business. Great memories.
At least he's back on the KC vault and the pod with Nash I suppose. But I loved the shoot interview times. KC only though I would never watch RF after that thing came out about him.....
You should interview buff
Really like Sean Oliver
guys you need to tell people to like comment and share ring the bell icon
Sean said he wasn’t gonna interview them, but he did anyway 😂

What did Roddy say about pat?
Roddy was a closet weirdo, who was groomed by pat the older weirdo.
When he was 16 he had to do certain things to get that future push.
He got really despondent, and mumbled something like 'I was a good looking kid, I fucked up'
