Exactly. 1 large can of pumpkin. 4 eggs, 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk, 2tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp each of ginger, nutmeg and salt, blend. Split between two unbaked pie shells. Bake 425°F 15 min, drop to 350°F for 30-40 minutes. Cool to room temp and then chill covered for 4hr until set. Makes two pies. One to enjoy and 1 to share.
The comment that some brands use a mixture of pumpkin and squash betrays ignorance of this subject. All pumpkins are squash. "Pumpkin" is a common term for squash species for decoration i.e. Hallowe'en and some with higher sugar content and fine texture good for pies. Libby's supplies 85% of the "pumpkin" for the whole world and all those companies use it. It is a very large 200 year old heirloom high sugar variety called the "Dickinson".
Great video! Wish there could have been a better description of how each pie tasted but it was still a fun and interesting video. Kroger pumpkin pies have always been a favorite of mine, they taste great and the price is reasonable.
Many stores have removed Sara Lee and Mrs Smith's pumpkin pie which I despise or it's out of stock often. All I see is Marie's, lesser known brands and the store brand. The store brand I like for now.
I love Costco, but we find their pumpkin pies are just too sweet for us. If there is a big gathering, we’ll still buy it, especially if we’re pressed for time.
Costco has the WORST pumpkin pie. It’s inedible. I threw it away. Kroger’s tastes awful too. I made a Marie Calendar’s pumpkin pie yesterday and it was pretty good- meaning it wasn’t disgusting.
Which of these store bought pies is your go to?
I love Costco pumpkin pies!! They are the best!
Make a pumpkin chiffon pie for the best of all. Otherwise, Costco is best and best value.
Baking your own is "easy as pie" and less expensive, if you don't care for store bought, try making one yourself.

Costco hands down , Walmart don’t want no smoke
🗑️🗑️
Unfortunately, Costco’s pumpkin pie is too sweet for us.
I find that re-bakinh them in the oven for about 30 minutes makes them better....not so doughy on bottom and slightly browned on top....🎃
I like mine cooked all ready,I don't no why but every time I cook it accordingly it never gets done
Aldi is best to include their pecan pie as well! Prices are great as well.

Why do you even include pies from trash grocery chains like Krogers, etc. ????
Wow, how elitist.
Costco far ahead the others in size, cost, and taste……….

This was confusing for the size of the pies. Stick with 7" or 8" or 9" or 10" or 11" or 12", then you jump to 27 Ounces very confusing !!! confusing
Marie Callender’s has gone down hill. They all have. You have to find a local bakery that still makes it with flaky crust.
ShopRite?!
Costcos is really good but I found Safeway to be even better
They have a great bakery
I wish Costcos had more pumpkin flavor in them
Totally bad advice as sarah lee pumpkin pies are so unhealthy & horrible tasting
Kmart is the best
Where is there still a Kmart ?
@@lisawendy33 Guam
