Chi-Raq is a modern day adaptation of the ancient Greek play "Lysistrata" by Aristophanes. After the murder of a Child by a stray bullet, a group of women led by Lysistrata organize against the on-going violence in Chicago's Southside creating a movement that challenges the nature of race, sex and violence in America and around the world.
Directed by the critically acclaimed filmmaker Spike Lee and co- written by Lee and Kevin Willmott, Chi-Raq features and all star cast including: Nick Cannon, Wesley Snipes, Jennifer Hudson, Teyonah Parris, D.B. Sweeney, Harry Lennix, Steve Harris, Angela Bassett with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson.

This song use to be on repeat. To keep reminding myself that I wouldn’t die. Even though it felt like I would. Having my heart snatched out of my chest hurt so bad death surly would’ve been better. I would listen to this song just before I’d go bruise it more with the giant that crushed it. Until I actually felt like I was fine now I listen to this song ,I’m so very proud of where I am today. And how I allowed that snatched heart to be replaced with one way much stronger, beautiful, humble, and full of love for God.

I love Mali Music's sound. And his voice was always more suited for contemporary RnB. And I don't really care for gospel music. But I love how all of his music has that overtone. and in his recent album he wasn't afraid to put a track or two in there about his faith. I'm not of Christian faith but I appreciate art.

Mali is gifted to the highest level. I really look up to Mali. So much that I started singing like him and didn't notice until someone told me lol. But God really blessed him with a voice for the people. Every track he's on, the music is deep, and his lyrics are on point. I love Mali's gospel sound. And I love this sound as well. There is no harm in collaborating with other great vocalist. That's what artists do. It really doesn't need to turn into saying that he's trying to be like the world because none of us know the condition of their hearts like God does. Both are incredibly gifted by God. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Sheesh.
