    Thanks for introducing the Radiolink. I have the 7 channel and am still trying to figure out all the functions! Your video just gave me a heads up on how to configure some of my channels

      What? You didn't absolutely love using crystals? That was fun man! And to make it even better the industry only used a couple popular frequencies in the radios. Glad those days are gone..

    Great video I've been waiting to see a review on it. That color screen is amazing it looks like it is smooth as a cell phone. I have a Wflyx9 transmitter which has most of those functions accept the FPV.

    if you don’t use crab steer as much, there is a way you can set crab steer to one specific button that way you only have to cycle through front steer and AWS. you can do all this and still have independent control on the rear at all times.

    Great radio, but 4 channel micro receiver is only capable of pushing 6V. That eliminates a higher rated BEC and getting the full potential from a majority of the aftermarket servos that are able to handle 8.4V. I reached out to Radiolink to see if they could release a 4 channel micro receiver that can handle more volts. Until then, I have to stick with my Flysky GT5 or Furitek Avatar or decase their existing 6 channel. It would also be great to see someone come to market with a 2 channel micro receiver (90% of my rigs only use 2 channels). Would be awesome to have the option!

      @@CapeCrawlers its underwhelming honestly. although probably good for the price. you get most of the aux mixing and trimming and whatnot that your radiolink has, but its clunky as hell to use.
      After your review of this, I'm kinda bummed I bought my way into the DX5-and-associated-receivers a while ago.

    Thank you for the in depth review. Can those micro receivers handle 8.4V to the servos? I have gone through two receivers, and the only thing I can attribute it to is selecting 8.4V to the servo in the Furicar app.

      @CapeCrawlers I keep a few 2000 mHh 2s lipos handy. Yet to find a 3s available that will fit.
      My suggestions for Radiolink. Increase battery compartment size. Add ability to charge battery through the radio. Add a mount point on radio for fpv. The one is neat, but to small a screen and to low resolution for all purposes.

    As a live long RC'er, sorry, but there is NO WAY on Earth you would ever use a surface radio for aircraft of any sort, you'd definitely be sitting and waiting for crashes all the time.

  • @americandeadhead5025
    @americandeadhead5025 ปีที่แล้ว

    That's a cool controller. A soft touch rubber might be nice. The radios still look like ones clear back to the late 80's and 90's. Same cheesy plastic. Can you create a slow crawl electronically like you get with the Furitek stuff? And have you tried using the two different underdrive gears for the scx24? One available is a 50% underdrive. Thanks for the great video

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree with the soft touch instead of copious amounts of plastic. I've tried the 33% underdrive and like them a lot. Have not tried 50%. That would be craaazzzyyy slow!
