i love that thing i will have one one day that i promis im sure it will be old tech by the time i can afford it but ill have one and thanks for sharing dj
I bought one of these radios early this month and i have been enjoying it. I love the touchscreen and the look of the RC8X it reminds me of a higher end Futaba but at a fraction of the cost and with 200 model memory. I also got an Outcast 8s EXB and a Gens Ace D300 Charger this month i almost got a Limitless V2 instead of the Outcast 8s EXB but i'm glad i went with the Outcast this time i can always do the Limitless another time. Great video as always Bars&Tone RC.
@@BarstoneRC You're welcome, I'm glad you're liking yours i love mine i had a Futaba 4PM V1 before i bought the RC8X. I was a little skeptical about buying the radiolink but in the end it worked out.
I'm still on the older version and it's also a great radio with all the functions you need. This one is a bit expensive but for the higher end radio's this is definitely a decent price. And looking great so maybe next one I buying one🤫 good review mate👍🏻
@@BarstoneRC yeah my son mason has the one I won from east tactics last august he really likes it I just don’t know if I could figure out how to work it…. It’s taken a year an I’m just now learning how to use the dx5c lol
I’m getting too many rc’s on my dumbo rc transmitter. I was planning on buying a second one of those but after watching this I might try this radio link instead. Great video bars!
That is one awesome Radio Bro. Super Cool. Tons of functions and options love that. The small receiver is a micro receiver and regular one. Both have gyro functions. I have two of those regular size receivers on my crawlers. Awesome breakdown brother.
Yeah, I’m excited to take this out and see how this transmitter feels. I think it’s finally going to stop raining after today so I might get a chance lol.
I love my controller too. All thanks to @bretbyer9160. All the controls are smooth, the power that goes to the receiver goes to the servo. All the other receivers that you get like Flysky, Spectrum down step the power that goes to the servo. Can see what the receiver is getting as power and battery voltage level too. That's cool
The 'M' receiver is "micro"...as in, for 1/18-1/24 scale vehicles, such as the SCX24, or competitive Mini-Z size cars. Not sure if yours came this way...but, the 'default' delay is 14ms. This can be changed to 4ms, or (if using a servo that can handle it) 3ms. When changing the delay, you will have to re-bind the Rx to the Rx Something very important that you forgot to mention...especially since you brought up speedrun cars...is the DSC Port, which provides the ability to plug in a TBS Crossfire. What is Crossfire good for, you ask? It increases the max controllable distance, from 600 meters, to several miles (TBS maintained connecting in a plane at over 40 miles). I have a Crossfire heading my way, and plan to do a video on it (once I've figured enough of it out). 🤙🏼
I have been eyeing this up Since they came out, Might be time to replace the flysky gt5, Flysky refused to offer any support for a malfunctioning transmitter, Radio link sent my friend parts when his cheaper radio link was acting up.
Is there a setting for telemetry so it will beep when your getting close to lvc on your vehicle? And is it adjustable? Would be handy on our long trail walks with the scx6
I’m curious to see how this radio holds up that’s the only reason I’m not a big fan of fly sky is because both controllers I’ve had from them didn’t last and the receivers I had a lot of bad luck with
Normally, you would want to put both of those antennas outside in opposite directions for the best reception and longer range but in the application I’m using it I just had one outside because I’m not worried about great distances on bashers
WOW what a very nice radio and for half the price as the competition !!!
Yeah, it has a great menu many functions and for a great price
The R4 is a mini 4 chnl rx with Gyro. I have 4 of them. uncased for small tight spaces.
Stop making me want to buy things dammit! 😄 Great vid, thx
Lmao sorry man
Thats the best radio I ever seen
Cool !!! Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
So glad to see you getting hooked up keep up the great work brother
Appreciate it

I took this thing out yesterday and used it again on a bash and I’m really liking this controller

Thank you for watching my friend. And yes, I’m really liking this radio really like the functionality of it in the reaction time.

First boom 💥💥
Happy Fourth of July buddy and thanks
Nice looking transmitter
Yeah, I think this is going to be replacing my DX5
@@BarstoneRC I love my dx5 only thing that sucks is buying nice receivers spektrum wants a lot for them especially compared to radio link
Yeah, these are half the cost or less and they have better range

Yeah, radio link seems to have a good service and warranty put together for their transmitters and products

I’m honestly not sure I’m checking to find out
Thanks, the wife ordered this radio for my Christmas gift. Looking forward to playing with all the settings.
Have fun man take your time there’s lots of menus, but many you don’t need for your average basher
Can you help me bind both ecu and radio to my r/c car. Unsure about the correct settings on the radio prior too binding.
I have a video on the binding process with this radio. It’s not really easy to explain through a message like this.
This looks awesome. I been thinking about getting one of these. I was trying to decide on this or the flysky Noble.
Really impressed with this controller between the functions and how nice it is to use. I think this will be my new controller for the fleet.
The speed on nb4 is faster. One thing to keep in mind.
@@paulmastone6886 yes I have seen a few people say that. I’m not sure what to get really.
@@jacobhenson3952 not much more nb4 pro is very nice

Do you plan on testing the gyro? Always looking for better alternatives to the Spektrum stuff for when I hand the controller over to newbies 😂
Yeah, I will be testing that also
Feature rich transmitter for sure; an unbeatable value. The question is, durability.
Well, I’ll have it out there in the dirty, motocross track and see how she does. I’m curious also.
Hey Bars&Tone, do you know the range of the receiver?
I haven’t found its limits yet so far everything I’ve driven I haven’t ran out of range
Hahn Mountains
Why does the receiver that comes with it have 2 antennas?
Normally, you would want to put both of those antennas outside in opposite directions for the best reception and longer range but in the application I’m using it I just had one outside because I’m not worried about great distances on bashers
can this remote control 2 receivers at once?
I don’t think so but I’ve never looked into it
Thenspeed of it is slow. But not bad for the price range. But i would nb4 pro over this one.
Is this a good controller for racing, is it very responsive?
Yes it’s VERY responsive
Mine glitches and loses connectivity if it's within a couple feet of the receiver..
I know, they say to keep it a certain distance away, when binding a new receiver, but I haven’t encountered that problem
