Colonel Tushar Joshi, Sena Medal is a decorated Indian army officer commissioned into Kumaon Regiment in 1993 . He has 29 years of army service, with experience ranging from serving in the Siachen Glacier to dealing with insurgency in Kashmir.
Col Tushar Joshi is the courageous officer who led the historic NSG operation at Akshardham Temple in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, which resulted in the rescue of over 80 people and the elimination of two terrorists.
In 2003, the President of India awarded Col Joshi the Sena Medal for his heroism.

If u are in BSF...then u will only be able to serve in SRG(Special Ranger Group)...that is VVIP Protection groups..and NOT in Special Action Group . SAG is only manned by Army personel.

The training standard, the ethos, the work culture of CAPF and Military is completely different. They cannot operate together...atleast not with the prevalent training and culture. It will be a FAILED ATTEMPT.
Btw, there are Composite Groups in various Hubs of NSG ...they are not definetely the best organisation to do what is NSG as an intervention specialist supposed to do. SCG can only act as first/ second responder of barricading the incident site and prepare the ground for the SAG to come and take over.
This SC must know where to draw a line... The Melords shdnt poke their dirty noses in affairs they dont have any damn idea. Let the National security be decided by the people who are trained for that ...the Military .

Not true entirely..... amit shah ji has withdrawn SRG from the PSO role of politicians after 2020. Now its done by crpf and cisf. The SRGs are now part of SCG.
