this teaching is gold. I just did the one going backwards and throwing the cross after the jab gives you way more power and momentum into your punch. I only knew to always step back while jabbing first and trying to throw a cross doesn't generate as much power. It's basically punching forward while you're moving backwards.

AMAZING💯 WHY 95% of fighters now have horrible footwork. No basics fundamentals. This is just the stepping aspect of the Sweet Science. Roy didn't even get into the sliding step angles, moving off the front or backfoot......Great Lesson these kids need the basics.👀But everyone a coach now.🤣💯

It's almost impossible to express in words how good Roy was. He is the most gifted "athlete" in the history of humanity in any sport. Way better boxers like the great James Toney couldn't land a glove on him because he was just such an OUTRAGEOUSLY gifted athlete. In his prime which was from 1993/2000 Roy was UNBEATABLE.

Your speed was your Everything, and once it slowed down a notch and you got caught and it turned out that your chin was decent but not special, jab wasn't used enough, chin too often exposed but your Speed allowed you to get away with all that till it Didn't.

Should had never went back down to light Heavy to fight Taver,should had told him if he wanted it to meet you at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight. Could had also demand that after the First fight with Taver,but instead you stayed there fighting him at Light Heavyweight again. You broke down too much(too fast)weight(Muscle)from Heavyweight and Paid the price chin got exposed.

Your speed was your Everything, and once it slowed down a notch and you got caught and it turned out that your chin was decent but not special, jab wasn't used enough, chin too often exposed but your Speed allowed you to get away with all that till it Didn't.

Should had never went back down to light Heavy to fight Taver,should had told him if he wanted it to meet you at Cruiserweight or Heavyweight. Could had also demand that after the First fight with Taver,but instead you stayed there fighting him at Light Heavyweight again. You broke down too much(too fast)weight(Muscle)from Heavyweight and Paid the price chin got exposed.
