- Today, E-man and the crew take on a brand new 2023 Porsche GT3 RS (one of the first in the country). They use our new in house paint protection film, also known as OPTICAL DEFENSE! Every square inch of the car gets wrapped, ceramic coated, and protected. This GT3 RS came from out of state, and it's now protected and ready to go back to its owner. All new GT3 RS with the Weissach package usually sticker for about $280K or more depending on options, but on the secondary market, expect to pay double that.
Owner says he's gotten offers over $500K. He's more or less sitting on it at the moment. Bought a regular 911 to track in the mean time.

E-man! I've seen shorts of him showing how precise he is cutting PPF (like, doing it on his arm and not cutting it) but still, it takes balls to go with a blade near any car, let alone one as expensive as this one, I'm sure I could look up and guess the price to it, but I'd rather not. Awesome work all around.

9:05 looking back, do you think it would be easier to do that bumper bulk?
Is it OK, if you have XPEL Stealth PPF and Ceramic to use Track Wrap when tracking my C8 Z06 or would it have a chance messing up my Stealth PPF. I thought the Track Wrap over the High Impact areas could give me extra protection where

Wow what a beautiful drivers car and the film added gloss and looks transparent. Is this the same film I am waiting to be delivered? You guys nailed the install as those were some serious curves! Hello. I understand the paint protection film part…
1. what are the last 2 procedures you complete where they are wiping on a solution?
2. Is that necessary or optional? Do you ever get the PPF and not the last 2 precedures?

When you guys use the knife to cut the film on the paint I assume you're just scoring the film essentially and not cutting all the way through and into the paint? Makes me nervous every time I see it!
Exactly. The the film is thick, you just score a layer of the film and then Separate manually. It’s definitely daunting early on lol

You are right to be nervous. Sometimes they mess up (not Chicago Auto Pros) and the paint gets cut and water gets under the paint and over time and the panel will need to be re-sprayed a few years later. That's why you need a shop that actually knows what they are doing, they do hundreds of cuts during installation, if they screw up once, it can defeat the whole purpose if putting on PPF. That's not including the possible issues with removing body panels and trim pieces to apply the PPF, sometimes clips break or they don't reinstall everything correctly.

Why would you not coat it in halo?? Serum ultra and exo will just kill off any self healing and also not last remotely as long on ppf

I have a question for you guys. How come you guys don’t let one of your senior artisans work on this car alone.. I always see double teaming.. I would think that if one person worked on the car… the work would be more consistent? Yes / no
