As a fan it pains me to say this but I have to be honest; Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a bad movie. The film is a mess. It's boring, poorly paced, confusing, convoluted and overly complicated. Too many characters, many of which have been needlessly shoehorned into the story. It's overstuffed with unnecessary dialogue, subplots, characters and scenes which go on for far too long. It's not funny either. I didn't laugh once during the movie, and neither did the audience I was watching it with. Neither is it scary. Laughs and scares are the two things you expect from a Ghostbusters film but this film doesn't provide any.
Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan may be talented directors, but they're the wrong people to be writing these films.
With a heavy heart, I rate this film 3 out of 10.
I feel a lot of fans are in denial about just how bad this film is.

Couldn't agree more. A massive dose of rememberberries thrown in for fan service. Want Slimer? Here he is and he is sliming twice. Want Peck? Here he is with zero explanation of how he became Mayor. He would have made a better villian for the movie than that Stranger Things creature. It was a 'prop for prop sake' film - even the suit changes and pack changes just appeared.
