It would also help if more law-abiding citizens would carry the tools needed to stop these threats. Maybe some of these thugs wouldn't make it in front of a judge then? Maybe the word would get out not to gamble their lives for a few bucks and a phone.

I guess the dude that was robbed beat himself up as well, there is more than one source reporting on this and the police report states they took his money and cell phone and if you are smart you know that all you have to do is cut the phone off and it can't be tracked, remove the sim card and replace it and it can be used again, they probably have footage of the robbery in the parking lot but show the mall footage because it gives people a clear image of the men they are looking for and doesn't show the victim, I hope this answers your questions. A couple years ago, I had 3 adult teens follow me as I exited a small store a few blocks away from home. I noticed 2 loitering by the front of the store and as soon as I got out and crossed the street, I saw 3 walking a few feet behind. As I'm turning around the block, I look behind and noticed they're walking faster. I put my bag down and take out my work knife, and made sure they saw me take it out. They immediately backed up and one of them had the audacity to yell out "why'd you bring a knife!?" Thinking about it now, I should've called the cops bc they were staking out the store for potential victims.

A couple years ago, I had 3 adult teens follow me as I exited a small store a few blocks away from home. I noticed 2 loitering by the front of the store and as soon as I got out and crossed the street, I saw 3 walking a few feet behind. As I'm turning around the block, I look behind and noticed they're walking faster. I put my bag down and take out my work knife, and made sure they saw me take it out. They immediately backed up and one of them had the audacity to yell out "why'd you bring a knife!?" Thinking about it now, I should've called the cops bc they were staking out the store for potential victims.
