FWIW, the song's lyrics make more sense if you understand that this is the penultimate song from The Queen of the Murder Scene album. The song is written from the perspective of "Death", who is angry at the Queen because she has gone on a murder spree and is bragging that she will replace Death on his throne when she gets to Hell. Yeah, this concept album was written by three young women who were 17, 15, and 12 at the time.
One of the jewels of "Queen Of The Murder Scene"... With the well-known dynamism of Dany and her voice. Pau's energy and the exciting scream of her. But here I want to highlight the wonderful bass line masterfully executed by Ale, as always it sounds very good. Ale is singing along to the lead line because she occasionally, a handful of times through the years, has sung lead on this song in live shows, and clearly enjoys doing it even when she's off mic just playing her bass part in these shows. It's super rare, but when Ale sings lead in one song in a show it's something to celebrate, because she basically doesn't like singing lead even though she's a really good singer too
So…HUNTER is the next to last song on the Queen of the Murder Scene (QOTMS) album. Remember in the Tidal Rising Documentary they said that the album had “blood and murder everywhere”. In this part of the story, the Queen has committed many murders--and this has pissed off the Grim Reaper: “You think you can take my Title away?” And he is now coming after the Queen! RUN! RUN! RUN! --Dany is singing the part of the Grim Reaper… You’ll understand the whole story better when you react to the whole Queen of the Murder Scene album-Live at Lunario (next week, of course!)
Fun fact: This is Mony's(their moms) favorite song by them. edit: I have always thought that Ale was supposed to sing this song as lead which she does occasionally but I am thinking she did not want to. This is not true, not the way you have explained it. They have never done a show where Ale or Pau took control of all or most vocal If Dany is not well enough to do most of her vocals the show is canceled If Dany is not 100% and they decide to go ahead with the show Pau and Ale will help out with 1 or 2 of the songs

They probably won’t play Hunter at the show but it’s part of Chapter 4 of the QOTMS album which may be the most interesting chapter of the 4 for song compositions. The overall story is really getting chaotic by now. Ale’s bass line is so strong in this song. Love it.

Yes, as you point out, they often just end with an abrupt stop. I also like the ends since musically many of them do not resolve the chords and leave you hanging, building anticipation, waiting for more.

If you haven't watched this entire concert at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 8/29/2022 you have to. This is one of the best live performances I have ever seen. I have been to 2 live concerts of The Warning and they are awesome. They sound better live! you can't say that for most bands. P.S. Hope you have a great time Sunday and I have no doubt The Warning will exceed your expectations

When going through QOTMS, their 2018 concert at Lunario CDMX is considered the gold standard. However, i know you like to do studio and live and that is probably the best way to go. Listen to the studio version with the lyrics pulled up so that you can follow the story, and then watch the Lunario video to appreciate the energy and passion they brought to that show. That concert was their live debut of the entire album, and to the best of my knowledge, the only time they ever played the entire album live and in order. Have a great time, we'll see you next week!

Based on the set list from their first show of the new tour in New Jersey you should expect to hear Disciple, Z, Animosity, Queen Of The Murder Scene, Choke, Dust To Dust, Dull Knives (Cut Better), Kool Aid Kids, More, Money, Enter Sandman, Error, Narcisista, Martirio, Evolve and a secret song that gets picked from a jar by a fan at the show. I feel confident with this information because when they tour like this, which is a fairly short tour, they usually stick to a single playlist. Wish you had reviewed the lyric video for this song which is from Queen of the Murder Scene. Every Warning song needs a look at what the girls are saying & how they are saying it because that's where they stand out from the crowd. 😄 They started 2nd part of N. American tour with a packed house at Stone Pony a few hours back. Some clips are already uploaded on Insta, YT. Looking forward to the recording of your live stream (4:30 in Canada is 2 in the morning here).
This is one of the songs that if Dany is a little under the weather or tiered Ale' will sing lead on and if you watch you can see Ale' singing as she stalks around the stage. The other songs Ale has done lead vocals on in the past are Red Hands Never Fade and River Souls. Once again congrats on hitting 5k subs.

Now I watched all the reactions you put out there. I guess you covered most of the songs. Here are some TW concert tips for you. I mean crowd participation at most. You better know these :D - Intro of CHOKE (chills!!) - End of MONEY chorus. "Cold hard cash, hon" It's Dany's favorite ;) - Second half of first verse in SURVIVE if they play. - When I'm Alone end of chorus if they play. - End of Narcisista chorus "condenada narcisista" and end of the solo "Na Na Na" - Shouting "Otra" after they left the stage after Martirio. You will have the encore :) - You better clapping before EVOLVE breakdown, cause Pau sees you if you don't :p And look out for all the other surprises. I feel like I might've spoiled things but I am sure these were needed.

Anyway, Hunter is from Queen of the Murder Scene, which someone has already said. It's a lot older than Choke, etc. and is an example of how the newer songs are more dynamic live (which they talked about in Tidal Risings). QOTMS is a fantastic concept album and I look forward to your reviewing it in the future. The concert at Lunario is also a great show, just older with less perfection. In some ways, that makes it better. I hope you will continue your The Warning journey. There are so many videos of different kinds: Mayday in the Making 1-6, Vlogs (23, 24 and 26 are about how they wrote QOTMS), the covid concert from their basement and, more recently, the aftermovies (vlogs) about their recent tour in Europe. When Dany's throat is sore or strained or when she is worn out, Ale will take some of the pressure off Dany by singing lead in several of their songs. It is the silver lining around a dark cloud!!! Now I watched all the reactions you put out there. I guess you covered most of the songs. Here are some TW concert tips for you. I mean crowd participation at most. You better know these :D
- Intro of CHOKE (chills!!)
- End of MONEY chorus. "Cold hard cash, hon" It's Dany's favorite ;)
- Second half of first verse in SURVIVE if they play.
- When I'm Alone end of chorus if they play.
- End of Narcisista chorus "condenada narcisista" and end of the solo "Na Na Na"
- Shouting "Otra" after they left the stage after Martirio. You will have the encore :)
- You better clapping before EVOLVE breakdown, cause Pau sees you if you don't :p
And look out for all the other surprises. I feel like I might've spoiled things but I am sure these were needed.

Congrats on 5k! I hope you like the Queen of the Murder Scene Album. I love that one because they really delve intro the emotion and drama of the story. Danny does a killer ( pun intended) performance and sings with a passion that is a pleasure to watch/ listen to. The Lunario concert in Mexico City (CDMX) is truly great. ( I see in my feed that you have reacted to the title song already and will now go watch!) ⚡

So glad you're feeling better. (I found myself being anxious about your being able to attend the show. That shows how much I love your reactions.) Anyway, Hunter is from Queen of the Murder Scene, which someone has already said. It's a lot older than Choke, etc. and is an example of how the newer songs are more dynamic live (which they talked about in Tidal Risings). QOTMS is a fantastic concept album and I look forward to your reviewing it in the future. The concert at Lunario is also a great show, just older with less perfection. In some ways, that makes it better. I hope you will continue your The Warning journey. There are so many videos of different kinds: Mayday in the Making 1-6, Vlogs (23, 24 and 26 are about how they wrote QOTMS), the covid concert from their basement and, more recently, the aftermovies (vlogs) about their recent tour in Europe. So much to enjoy and we'll be here with you. Congratulations on 5,000 subs and have fun on Sunday!
