It’s such a rare treat to see Ale sing
Things I love about this band: They just come out and put on a show that goes like clockwork, no farting around. They dress in street clothes any girl their age might wear to the mall, not in sexed up showgirl outfits. It's all about the music for them...and for their fans. They are the best thing going in rock-n-roll right now.

I saw a lot of footage from this Concert and I felt so bad for them. They were all dripping with sweat and looked really miserable. I saw how tired Dany looked towards the end. But, because of that, you got the treat of Ale singing twice which never happens. That was special for you. So Glad you had a Great time. I knew you would.
To all the people complaining that Toronto venues run so hot that the bands sweat on stage, uhhhh ... , no. I'm guessing the band requested the A/C be shut off. Watched the interview of them by the radio station guys in Red-deer Alberta CA and Pau was complaining bitterly because the venues were so COLD. She said she was wearing 2 pairs of pants onstage and was still too cold.
Yeah, I dunno either, but i know no public space will get any traffic in Toronto unless they have total control of the temperature.

Thursday will be my 11th TW show and I'm every bit as excited to see them,maybe even more, as I was my first time! I've been following them since November of 2013. I flew from Ohio to Los Angeles to see them live for the first time at the 2019 private invitation only show at the Whisky,best concert of my life with just a little over 100 fans invited to that show and it was amazing! Flew back to LA again for the 2 nights at the Whisky in 2020, worth every penny spent!

Love the Vlog. I was there took the subway to Christie. Great show and I was delighted to see Ale take the lead in two songs. I also noticed while she was singing she would glance at her sisters and I saw Dany/Pau smile at her like to say , you got this. Love the sibling encouragement and humility.
Yes, I noticed that too. They were so encouraging for her and they kept smiling at her. It was so sweet.
Unfortunately her mic was too quiet for half of one of the songs. Kept going like a Trooper though. 😉
What impresses me about Ale is that she says she doesn't like to sing. But when it takes her to sing she says take off it's my turn

I watched the Boston concert from Pau's drum cam for Pau Day
We were fortunate in Boston that it was mild and dry. Still got a bit warm in there, but nothing the AC couldn't handle, and with the dry air, we didn't get oppressive humidity forcing its way in.

I'm glad you had fun, I don't think Dany has really recovered from the European tour, she semi collapsed at the end of the last London show too and barely made it out for the encore. Looked hot under those lights as well, Pau looked like she had been for a swim. Always fun to see Ale singing though, you got a real treat. So jealous! I live in the UK, so have had limited opportunities to see them live but managed to see them live 3 times this summer. Can't believe you picked to see a show with Ale singing lead on not one but two songs!!! Great reaction. Nothing compares to experiencing them live!!!
I was able to see them twice in the UK and on each occasion they rocked! Yes, there is something special about TW live.

My thoughts:
Dany has evidently adjusted her tone settings on her floorboard to work well with her new extra special yellow manson guitar.... it used to sound like a chainsaw with her old amp settings (when she first got it and played it without adjusting anything in a live show), but sounds WAY better now... as expected. Every guitar needs amp tweaking and level adjustments.... and when you're on the road isn't a great time to start messing with digital floorboard technology (cuz things can go wrong for your entire show LoL).
and Ale did AMAZING! I've always loved her young adult voice, velvety and thick like a mix of Dany and Pau, with a unique touch of class as Alejandra tends to lend to everything from what I've seen.
Dany looked just done though.... what a group of incredibly hard working young women.
I love the footage you got of Alejandra playing bass up close... one thing that most videos don't capture is her RIGHT hand, the plucking hand... Ale is often doing more than Dany is (on guitar) to fill in the music while Dany is singing lead, and Ale plays so effortlessly (her technique is exceptional, speaking as a bassist too) that she makes it look simple or like she's putting nothing into it. Well, for her level of skill, she might well find their music not a challenge mostly... but she always gives her best performance as they all do. But you can see how much she's doing in many songs in your video... very cool
Pau and Dany look extremely sweaty... I know Pau often gets that way for obvious reasons but I don't see Dany get sweaty performing often, so I suspect it might have been a little warm in there? Ale may have been too but like everything else is life her cool is so powerful that it helps her get less sweaty than her sisters. I didn't even notice it until she turned her back for the photo.
Dany when she was just crashing on the floor after LoL.... that's multiple times now through their career when a member of the band has had to be helped up off the stage at the end or physically carried off the stage at the end... they put SO much into these shows. One might think they are small and therefore assume they are weak, but they work out daily and are in much better physical condition than most of us are, very likely... but you can't fight exhaustion and time changes and traveling by leWaWa (their tour bus) and flights etc... eventually it has to catch up to you.
I hope they are doing better they deserve a well rest after this tour
Ale's voice sounds smooth and elegant, almost jazz-like compared to Dany's (primarily) power rock voice and Pau's...whatever, I don't have a good description for it.
Dany gives 120% at every show, and that sometimes comes back to bite her (like in Toronto). Recall the show last year in Colorado when she collapsed on stage and Luis cancelled the rest of it. Pau has incredible athleticism and endurance, and isn't running around the stage although otherwise her job is very physical. Other than when she was sick, the last time I've seen video of Ale looking completely spent was playing Atlas Rise at the Whiskey, but she was what, 13 or 14 at the time? She does make everything look easy. She most certainly doesn't stand there like a statue, but her motions are smooth, elegant, and economical. Her left hand looks busy at times, but not stressed, even with the very high action she is reputed to use. And isn't her bass longer than normal scale? Everything else being equal, that's going to require greater string tension, not to mention that think, heavy B string. Her right hand looks like it's barely doing anything, which is obviously not the case, it's just that she's so efficient. And we both know that tone production really comes from the right hand.

After 4 days and 2700 kms we made it back to NB. They were amazing,just wish they had played another 17 songs!
You had a fantastic spot and a great close up view of Ale.
She is so pretty in person. It’s shocking they all are.
As a bass player myself, I was blown away by how technically great she is with her instrument. I everyone int he TWA says what a power trio they are, but it is clear that none of them has displayed their full potential yet. Both Ale and Pau have practiced other musical genres besides Rock and there has videos of them performing. Dany is a special case. Although she is competent at writing and playing from sheet music if necessary, she can play a melody back perfectly on her guitar from just listening to it once to maybe twice. I have a cousin, Ricky Skaggs, who was a child prodigy as well and became a Country/Blue-Grass legend. It is a rare ability that will enable Dany to collaborate with any other musician

I can't believe how lucky you are seeing Ale sing lead on a song is so rear and I think its the first time seeing her sing two which has not happened at least in recent history (I'm sure TWA will correct me if I'm wrong). I am so glade you enjoy DPA.
The Warning is so close to that step up and the headliner at the big shows. Then you will be remembering back to this show and how lucky you were to see them when it was so intermate. I like so many fans want so so much to see them become so so big, I also want to jealously see them in that intermate show, were I feel so special hearing such greatness at my private party (or what feels like a party in my backyard).

I saw most of the songs online after the show the next morning. I love how unfazed they were when they had to restart a couple songs such professionals. Shows their personalities and I couldn't stop watching Pau's shirt get wetter as they played on thought they sounded great. I mostly enjoyed it because I knew you were there and that made me happy.😉🤘

@@ashlenamusic I saw Rudy setting up the merch table before the show, but he wasn't selling merch, not in Toronto at least. When I passed by, they had some young people working the table.
@@ashlenamusic he did every show before yours on this leg. I am assuming he also did Toronto as well. His son worked all the shows in Europe for them, and decided he needed a break. Talk about a cool experience that was.

Hey Ashlena! I think now you may understand why fans of The Warning are so rabid! LOL. You said you have seen many bands in that same venue. I would love to know how they compared to TW. Now you can start your deep dive in to their catalog, watch their music videos, see their live performances of XXI Century Blood and Queen of the Murder Scene and watch some of their vlogs. Now you see that when they are on stage they are like fish swimming or birds flying. It's what they are meant to do! And they make it all seem so easy and effortless. They are so humble and hard working and nice, it's almost unbelievable that they are SO YOUNG. Future Legends!

Great video Ash! Couple of things stood out to me, besides Ale singing of course, Pau was soaked with sweat by the end of the concert, was it hot there or was it the lights and her hard work? Also, I just love how Dany is such an amazing Front-woman! She can take every mistake, or negative thing that happens, when playing live, and make it an enjoyable experience for the audience!! It's amazing how their live performances increase the quality of each song. But some make them much much better. Kool Aid Kids is one of those for me, along with Enter Sandman. I definitely think they consider the "live sound" as they compose each song as one of the primary objectives. I'm blown away by how much these young ladies care about their craft and have the maturity not to get lost in the euphoria of stardom as many their age would.
So glad to hear you were able to get the whole Warning experience and you both of you enjoyed it. I have been following them for year and I'll finally see them live 4 days from today in Chicago. I'm looking forward to joining the "Seen The Warning Live" club. #Locura ⚡🤘

Maybe they just took it off for this show since Ale was going to be singing lead on two songs? They only have time for so many songs, so something has to go. I don't think that Hunter and Red Hands have been regulars on their set list so if they added them in they would have to take something out. This is one of the "problems" of having so many good songs. There is no way to play them all at each concert.

@@ashlenamusic I hope that you get the chance. I have only been able to see them once, and since then concerts haven't been close enough, or the date hasn't been doable. I am hoping that the next time they come around my way I can manage. Of course by then they are liable to have another album out, which will mean cool new songs, (YAY!) but also other songs being dropped from the setlist (boo).

The support band was Mute Choir from Newmarket. Ale is a great bass player with a massive sound, locked into Pau's monster drums and Lalo keeps her bass hot in the mix. I kept an eye out for you and a couple of other TWA people but never spotted any of you. At 14:27, you caught Dany's hand in the air. She transfers her pick from thumb and forefinger to forefinger and middle finger, then drops her hand and starts a thumb and forefinger picking style, playing octaves, then switches back at 14:44. Pretty slick technique. Thanks for the videos and I'm glad you enjoyed the show!

I’m sure we’ll connect at the next show. And to be fair, I literally went to get merch and then I was at the back of the venue by the left side of the bar ended up upstairs and realize there’s nowhere that I can even see the show. So I ended up going back downstairs and just kind of rushed to the front during the opener.
I went to Asbury Park and Allston/Boston, back home for a day off, then to Toronto, which was the shortest drive (4:hours one-way).
Frontman of Mute Choir looked like the godchild of Chris Cornell and Robert Trujillo!

It's so awesome how much effort The Warning puts into their shows. Not just the girls but their crew as well. I went to the first show in this leg of the tour in NJ. Rudy, their manager was constantly walking around doing something and still always made time to say hi to fans who acknowledged him. Their hard work is definitely not unnoticed and is so very appreciated by their fans.

The opening band was Mute Choir. we didn't get them in the States because of a paperwork issue.
I love how Dany rolls with things that pop up. I'm not sure what went wrong for MORE, I think the guitar was just out of tune, but in another video someone posted, you can see in Pau's eyes that she knew something wasn't right.

Happy to hear you had a great time at the show. Apparently Dany has been a bit under the weather here so that is why you got Ale singing those two songs. She doesn't like to sing lead (even though she is amazing at it), but she will step in if Dany needs a rest. Those two songs are the best fit for her vocal range, so they will likely be a semi permanent option in the set list for just this occasion. It's so hard getting merch in the right size. Fortunately for me, I'm like your husband and like things big so I typically just get the biggest one they have.

@@ashlenamusic My friend wanted a large, but they were all sold out. I managed to get one in my size, plus I bought a zip-up hoodie as well. It was a bit large on me, but I washed it a couple of times and dried it on high heat and it shrunk just enough. I've never had much luck shrinking an oversized t-shirt though, but it's worth a shot.
I was in Detroit with my offspring last week and introduced them to the Warning. They bought tickets to see them this week. I wouldn't have thought to look up if they were going to be in Detroit had you not said you were going to see them in Toronto. Alas, I had to come back to Colorado, so I couldn't go with them. I did see them twice last year.

I was there that night. First time seeing them live. It's understandable why they looked so tired. Four shows in four nights (Jersey, Boston, Montreal, Toronto ~ 1500 km) That's just crazy. I'd fire the person responsible for setting this up. I'll have to see them again before I can make an informed opinion. Hopefully 1st night after a day off.
That would be Luis and Rudy. Easy to judge. I think they are collectively finding their limits. Their coach is pretty small for the number of people traveling in it, so not very restful. They make no money on support gigs or festivals. These shows pay the bills. It's all about that cold hard cash, hun!

They’ve also ran into a string of venues that for various reasons have been ovens inside while they are playing a high energy show. It’s starts to take its toll after a few days. The joys of being a touring band I suppose…
They always play all out and it’s not uncommon to see them sweaty after a show but the videos I’ve seen so far from these shows, they are all just drenched in sweat after performing.
It’s not like the ladies aren’t incredibly fit either, they do like their snacks though lol.
Dany seldom ever pulls her hair back when performing (at least from the years of their performances I’ve seen) and she has done it in every show so far this tour fairly early in each show in an attempt to cool off. Maybe they need to invest in better or more fans for them onstage?
When I saw them in Denver earlier this year it was a hot day, especially standing outside in line, but the venue was cool inside. I was directly in front of Ale, I could’ve actually grabbed her mic stand if I had been so inclined, and she didn’t even appear to break much of a sweat the entire performance.

Im glad you had a great time with your friend at the show. Kind of weird that last time they were with Three Days Grace, they had a hard time dealing with the cold and at some point all of them got sick, now they had been dealing with the hot venues, apparently the one before at Montreal was also hot.. by the way, there was I live acoustic show they did at Montreal at Chom radio station that you can check out, it is very intimate and really funny ( th-cam.com/video/MBNiYLfsbAQ/w-d-xo.html ), only Pau and Dany cause Ale was sick then. And talking about the shows they are doing, I think they should have at least 1 day to rest inbetween them, they had an intense tour before coming back home from Europe, but even if they have rested for a month, it looks that playing everyday is not good for them. I hope they have rested enough yesterday cause they getting back with like 4 shows in a row. I hope they are ok and keep themselves safe!.. I'm so glad you enjoyed the show. I saw them for the first time in Atlanta in May and even the Teatro videos don't prepare you for how great they are live! They're an amazing band!
Was at the Toronto show they were as good as advertised if not better. My wife was with me and had never heard them and loved them.

Watching videos and seeing them LIVE are both great but there is no comparison. I was lucky enough to see them 3 months from the first time I finally listened to them on TH-cam. Row 20 for me. I'm jealous but happy for you AND............. 2 songs where Ale was singing lead???? When I saw the fan video, I know all of us were so happy you got to see that. Yeah, I guess Toronto is not that bad. It’s great for concerts because everybody comes here which is convenient. And yes, my daughter was a little sad that I left her so she wanted to see where I was and then she heard the music and was excited.

I guess we lucked out seeing Ali sing 2 songs. For a hot venue the vib was great and the sound excellent. I loved how the bass and druns were so intense. Continued success with the channel. Did your Uber driver know who they were or was that their introduction to The Warning, and did you say to them You Have Been Warned! lucky you to be that close and on Ale's side of the stage for this show of all shows. It was funny because I got in the car and he’s like do you wanna listen to your music and I was like if you don’t mind I’m going to a concert and I would love to listen to the band. He didn’t mind at all, but I don’t think it was his taste lol.

From your recap I see Ale sang lead twice, that's great. You said it was maybe Dany was a little tired, I have seen other posts from TW Fans who where there and yes she look a little tired, but she's a trooper she still performed great. You could tell Dani was exhausted but she definitely put her heart into every song she sang. Her voice is phenomenal.
Great job with your Vlog, Ashlena. Hopefully a days rest will be a big help for Dany. I am seeing them tonight in Cincinnati. My 4th show in 15 months and my first meet & greet.
