Competition is so different from learning a subject for the sake of learning and discovering. Its an arrogant thing that hinders learning and makes you focus on trying to be no.1 and boastful/unhappy with your results, rather than focus on the subject itself

Erm, no. If that is happening then the teacher is encouraging the wrong attitude. A mildly competitive environment will improve performance and helps students be the best that they can be.

Re Q40: Galileo published his findings from studies through his telescope, that Nicolaus Copernicus' theory of a heliocentric solar system was correct. Galileo confirmed Copernicus, he did not formulate the theory. It is true that the Roman Catholic Church condemned Galileo for this just as it had condemned Copernicus almost 100yrs earlier. He was placed under house arrest until his death not long afterwards.

Lots of questions about things I don't want to know about. I don't care about the name of persons who discovered this or that. And I am certainly not a competitive person who gets happy/sad/arrogant/humiliated with my results. Just ❤ science and learning that's all. A competition is not necessarily going to have questions about the areas of science you're interested in anyway. Competition ruins everything. Its an arrogant thing that causes tears and has an unfair way of scoring/rating you. ie; in gymnastics competitions the scoring system basically just awards points to military trained robots, and gymnasts are hardly awarded any points for art, no matter how much art/balletic art they put into it. Then they're made to feel bad. This is sadly how ie the Russians have been treated by the arrogant west for decades. Science shouldn't be about who gets to the moon FIRST, it should be about THE MOON. Patriotism/competition shouldn't even come into it

due to not remembering names of people that discovered or proved things.... 27/40 but a lot of "oh yeah thats right" but would offer these corrections.
"measuring electricity" is done in a few ways. "amps" is one way, but if you check your meter on the side of the house or your bill, its measured in watts, when plugging things in its in volts, or how strong a battery is is in volts, or converters is in volts. amps is most commonly used in measuring how long a battery will last (x amount of amp hours) but even that is changing with the more modern tech in EV batteries using kWh (kilowatt hours) amps is only PART of the formulation. voltsXamps=watts. so any would work but if only one could be used it would be the sum of the first two being in watts.
and its oxidation not oxidization. oxidization is what happens to your paint on the car when its left in the sun to long...
