I've just started getting deep into comics but I'm starting with the first notable runs of all the characters I'm interested in. So for something like X-men I've got almost of the Claremont, Lee, Simonson era.
Currently reading daredevil by bendis and blown away by it. Amazing stuff.

Have you read Daredevil by Brubaker? I just read Bendis V2 and then Brubaker V1 and I have Brubaker V1 above Bendis 2. I just got in Bendis V1 today and is on my short list to read.

Great list. If I had to pick one beginner Omnibus it is Annihilation/ Annihilation conquest. The former is my favorite CB event and the book does a phenomenal job going over marvel cosmic; who are the key players and the storytelling is fantastic.

Just order the new printing of annihilation my first omnibus
I got Annihilation recently as my second Omnibus (Daredevil by Miller Companion was my first.) I was actually really disappointed with Annihilation tbh considering the hype. Some of the tie-ins were really bad and I am NOT a fan of the art, but Nova was awesome.
@@saltified I’ve also heard a lot of mixed things on that Annihilation run. Gotta check it out for myself soon 🤔

NEW READERS + FF by Hickman ? Mmmh 🤔 something sounds wrong to me, but idk what. I’d rather recommand Mark Waid’s run for new readers, imo it’s a better jumping on point

Can’t comment on the Death of Superman Omni but the Cates Venomnibus is spectacular. Top read of 2022 for me, I highly recommend.

You definitely love uncanny Xforce it’s pretty dark. The writing is good and the art is some of my favorite in comics. The Nightcrawler Shark Bamf is EPIC

Good list. I know you only picked books that you owned but I would have used Spider-Man vs Venom instead of Venom omnibus vol 1. Its a good book but the Spider-Man vs Venom one is great. Also while FF by Hickman is great, my choice would have been FF by Byrne vol 1. That was my introduction to their comic book adventures and it contains some of my favorite FF material ever. Both are great jumping on points for new readers though.
I have the FF4 by Byrne but haven’t read it yet. That’ll be next up on my read list 👍🏻

Both tremendous books still in my top 10
My list for new readers is Stan, Kirby, Ditko, Buscema, Romita. And a special mention for the best Daredevil's Artist ever: "Wally Wood". Stop.
Uncanny X-Force was the first omnibus I ever bought. And its still #1 in my collection.
No Avengers tho? Lol, I'm a lil salty cause they are my favorite team. The books in your top 10 that I don't have are Cosmic Ghost Rider, Venomnibus, and the Marvel Zomnibus(which is getting a reprint btw), I have Star Wars by Jason Aaron but haven't gotten around to reading it.
I’ve only read the Avengers John Byrne Omni I did really enjoy it! Star Wars is tremendous you gotta check it out 👌🏻
I would be interested in omnibus that contain the whole story and I wouldn’t have to invest in multiple volumes ?

It’s on Amazon but for cover… if you look into Facebook groups someone may have a copy for a fair price… maybe even eBay, happy hunting 👍🏻

Personally I’ve gotten quite a few books off Amazon and never had a problem. They also have a good return policy if it’s from Amazon and not a 3rd party seller.

@@drocksteadyreviews I just finished the first 5 issues. I like it much much more than I had anticipated I would. I too was hesitant w the art style. It’s fire though. Had me crying almost.
Venomnibus volume 1 is honestly trash! It’s a chore to read and a lot of stuff that isn’t good really. Apart from nostalgic value, I wouldn’t have it in my collection. Doubt I will ever re-read it. I wouldn’t recommend anyone new read it.
See that’s how I feel about volume 2 I would’ve had Spider-Man VS Venom Omni on the list but I don’t own it yet unfortunately. But that definitely collects better material.

I actually just finished vol 1 on the Brubaker run. Really enjoyed it but I think Bendis still takes it. Uncanny x-Force is a definite must have 😄
