PAYPAL UPDATE: PayPal DOES work for some websites and will allow you to use your Kenyan billing address, but this doesn't work on all websites. So do a dummy run through and add a product to your cart and check to see whether it will give you an error or not. If it doesn't allow it, when the PayPal window opens and you log into your account it will show you an error message. If you don't see the error message you're good to go! I've tried this recently and it worked!
My friend told me that the mailing system is messed up in Kenya , and she couldn't send mail with tracking numbers and excetera. Is there a PO Box system in Kenya, in a major city, which can assuredly give you a valid billing address for more websites?
When setting PO box as the shipping address in the US, you cannot purchase certain things from people on eBay, I'm assuming the same effect will be felt by a Kenyan address.
but she is having trouble selling online from Kenya, where in the u.s. I can sell to anyone else is pretty easily
Hi Tac, in my experience it depends on the website you’re purchasing from. More and more websites are allowing PO BOX addresses for billing addresses, but some still limit this to only US addresses. If PayPal is available as a payment option then would suggest she tries that, as my PayPal is linked to my Kenyan bank (and therefore PO Box). But not all websites will accept nonUS billing addresses, so it’s all trial and error

This is where it gets a bit tricky. If you buy and ship directly through Amazon to you (not using a third party courier) then you can return it using their policy. If you use a 3rd party then it becomes a bit of a pain to return it

Hey,if someone buys you for example shoes from UK and want to deliver them to you in Nairobi,what's the procedure,n where will you collect them from?
If you use the method I describe the video, they should first send it to a shipping company in the UK and then the steps I’ve outlined apply. If they send them directly you’d probably have to pay customs
I have a question, In terms of when your goods arrive to Kenya from the country ordered for example is less than 2kg and the courier company will charge per kilo instead the minimum weight allowance. Does the buyer still need to pay for duty, vat and levy charges?
Hey, if you use a courier company like the ones I’ve listed in the description, you DO NOT have to pay any additional levies, duty, taxes as they take care of that and it’s included in the fee you pay to the company. As they shipped in the goods, that’s on them. Whereas if you were to order directly from a store and delivered to Kenya by you then you will have to pay fees as you are responsible for having the goods brought to Kenya.
On minimum charges, it depends on the company, but many will charge a minimum weight fee (the 2kg in your example), so if you ship less than that they will still charge you the minimum fee.

Hey Carolyne, I can’t really advise as I haven’t imported any goods from Pakistan. But I’d say look on Google for a shipping company that can deliver for you and clear the customs process for you. The process basics should be the same, so you pay by kg or volumetric weight.

Hi, don’t ship directly from Amazon I use a shipper to bring from the US/UK. The shipping company takes care of duties/taxes and delivers to my house for a fee

I haven't come across any sites that won't take a regular address. Unless maybe it's a PO Box instead of a street address
Hey I recently ordered from shein and payed with paypal, It allowed me and I put my normal address in and I guess I’m thinking shein themselves will deliver it to my house. I don’t know if this will work or my stuff will get lost because I didn’t use DHL or a shipping company. I’m scared my money will go to waste girl
Whew! I’ve never tried to order via Shein before so I’m not sure about how they deliver. But if it goes wrong I think you can raise a complaint with PayPal. Good luck!

@@catherineadeya1690 GIRL I’ve got a story for you. When I ordered as I wrote there 3 months ago, I put my Kenyan address so Shein themselves sent it out and gave it to DHL. Dhl Kenya is the worst service possible!!! They wanted me to pay an ‘invoice fee’ of 14,000KES + 6,000 tax which was even more expensive than my actual order. They insisted and I talked to them for weeks but they decided to charge me that much money because apparently that’s the invoice fee. Never ship directly because the most used shipping company from abroad in Kenya in DHL so please do as this video says.

@@munayusuf6857 Hey Muna. I also ordered from shein and dhl did the same thing to me. The custom fees they were charging were honestly ridiculous. Not to mention they hit you with extra charges if you don't clear the custom duties within 3 days. I also went back and forth with them and just gave up. I contacted shein though and explained the whole situation and was given a full refund. Not sure if they can give you a refund this late but it's worth a try :}

Please contact the shippers directly for the price per kg info. They don’t charge taxes. It’s usually included in their fee
