McClellan thought Benn was an easy ride putting the Dark Destroyer in the first and in the eighth but Benn showed his courage to make G Man quit in the tenth which led into almost tragedy.
The fight should have been over in the first round. If it wasn't for the ref given Benn more time to recover and constantly getting in between them. Why they would have a Frenchman who doesn't speak English as a referee is ridiculous
@@AJice1980 The problem was that a neutral referee had to be brought in as Benn's people did not want a American referee and McClellan's people did not want a British referee so the Frenchman was brought in and it ended up with a referee who could not speak a word of English and had no previous experience of refereeing World Title fights (he only refereed 1 World Title fight prior to this)
I know it's easy in hindsight but Jim Watt should have known better than to say that McCllellan quit, especially when you consider that Watt was sitting at ringside. So too Reg Gutteridge saying "that is what it means having the life puched out of you" as the camera focussed on McCllellan lying prostrate on the canvas fighting for his life. I know boxing is a tough game but Gutteridge was crass and insensitive.

this was 9pm as the programme was sandwiched around the film Total Recall which started at 10pm and the 2nd part aired after the film at 12:05am
