Have a Brother Coverstitch... very temperamental and too much, just gave in and got myself a BabyLock Ovation, combined serger/coverstitch, expensive true but SOOO worth it, not to mention, I can use all 8 spools simultaneously, blew my mind!
@@janeybwells2810 Me too with a Janome combination serger/coverstitch machine. I purchased a gently used Babylock Ovation (U.S. name) and it took care of many of my serging issues. Great machine!
...thanks for the tips, Johanna...my coverstitch is the first machine that has really been a challenge for me to master...I appreciate every tip & trick...great to see you!
I wanted to thank you for your last video on your favorite sewing tools. After watching it, I decided to purchase the orange colored ‘hump-jumper’. One for me and the other for a friend. Joann Fabrics has them on sale for nearly half of what Walmart is selling them for. Of course, with you not living in the USA you may not shop at these stores, but I thought that others may want to find this tool. Thanks again! Today’s video will be very helpful also. Each day I may be using a different machine, it’s always great to expand my knowledge! ❤
I have yet to try the cover stitch functions on my Baby Lock Triumph, but I think ALL of your tips will help me. I am going to a Coverstitch Basics class at the dealer in Mon., Oct. 4. Nice to see you on TH-cam again, Johanna!
The link to her favorite sewing tools is in the description. You can get them on Amazon, or any sewing supply store, usually. It’s a common item. I’ve also used cardboard.
Nice! Your videos should be seen by more watchers. May I repost your channel without changing anything on the clean platform named Ganjing World? Thank you!

I don’t have a cover stitch machine, but I watched this to support your channel anyway! I’m glad to see you back.
Great to see you back on TH-cam, Johanna. I’ve missed your informative videos.
Great to see a new video from you, Johanna. I have all your books & I highly recommend them to everyone.
I like to always test on scraps before I start my cover stitching! It has saved me from unpicking many times!

Me too! Love my Ovation!
I had the same issues with the Janome. Now have a Babylock Gloria. Worth saving up for.

Nice to see you on TH-cam again, Johanna!
I took that type of class at my BL dealer-it helped demystify cover stitching and chain stitching.
Thanks you so much I appreciate your time.
Love your videos, I'm saving up for a coverstitch and will be getting your book then
Thank you. Very helpful .
Hi Johanna where did you get your hump jumper please ?

Great tips.
I've always found that thin bamboo ou rayon jersey needs some wash away Wonder Tape to sew properly. It's just too unruly to sew by itself!
