    Moving this up or down a half step in key will make this much nicer to read for a lot of brass players

    • @KatiesWorld1
      @KatiesWorld1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      You're probably talking about the measure of sharps, aren't you? I know it's a bit complicated and I'm sorry about it, but this is an original key of the song from Disturbed and I wanted to keep it like this.
      Anyway, if you have an Musescore account, I think it's possible to download these notes and then turn it to the different key in the program itself.
      Thanks for you comment and opinion, Ryan.

      OK, it's Disturbed version. The "really original one", performed by Simon & Garfunkel is in D# minor, it would look better for Ryan and many brass players, as he said (including me :D )

      @KatiesWorld1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Still the same answer - if it's a problem, it's possible to change the key in Musescore easily.

      I'm sorry for that key. It was my first piece,so I didn't know lots of things. Also I didn't expect so much views,comments etc.
      Anyway,it's possible to rewrite the key,if you download the sheets in MuseScore.
      Thank you for your opinion and kind words!

      The program I used for making my compositions is called MuseScore (musescore.com/). If you go there and create your account, you'll get 5 free uploads into the Community of MuseScore, but also here, on TH-cam. Unfortunately, 5 uploads is the maximum free limit, then you have to pay for the Pro account.
      Just try it, it's nothing complicated. Good luck!

    Why are the keys in G# minor, E Major, and F# Minor? I mean, it sounds great but as a rule of thumb for partwriting you should never write parts in different keys

    • @lindsaygibson2142
      @lindsaygibson2142 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They are all written in the same key. Transposing instruments need to be scored in a "different key" in order to play in the same key as instruments of different fundamental pitches. Same reason why when you ask a trumpet player to play a C he actually plays a Bb.

    • @Katewooly2026

  • @veridyne

    This doesn't even sound real. You can freaking tell that is it is an electronic band. Not to be mean, but it would've sounded better if actually people played it

    • @KatiesWorld1
      @KatiesWorld1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think you just don't understand the meaning of this video and all videos like this. It's a sheet music, my own arrangement of this song, unfortunately played by the program. If I were able to record it with actual instruments, I would definitely do it, I also don't like the sound of it.
      I'm uploading these videos so you can hear the arrangement and then play it with your own quintet. There are always links to download sheets, or gmail to contact me.
      Peace.
