    Shane Victorino hit .125 in the ALCS, and .154 in the World Series. But, wow, did he come through in the clutch.

    Sox pitching went toe to toe with arguably the best rotation in the MLB at that time

    • @greyk610
      @greyk610 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yup. If the sox still had Lester and lackey I garentee they would be first in the AL east. It's our shitty pitching that's letting us down. Probably the best offense though in a longgg time.

    This was one of the most exciting ALCS’s I’ve ever seen

      This one and the 2004 ALDS for me are my top two

    This would’ve not been possible had Mike Napoli not have carried the Red Sox on his back in the 3 games at Detroit.

    Victorino's slam still gives me chills

    Victorino is only 1 of 2 players to hit multiple grand-slams in the postseason and the only one to have both of them be go-ahead grand-slams. A nice legacy to leave.

    The Tigers never recovered after that monumental collapse in Game 2. You could tell they weren't winning that series after that.
    Being said, the 2013 ALCS has an argument for one of the best postseason series of the 21st century.

      MetsGiantsRangersKnicksNYSports Love my Tigers bud but if you go back and look at this successful stretch of 8 years or so you will see a whole lot of talent and some of the biggest choke moments. As a fan they just killed you every year.

      Hands down best postseason series 2004 ALCS

      Liam Flynn
      I said "one of the best". And the 2004 ALCS might be the most famous, or the greatest comeback, but as far as close games and battles go, the 2004 NLCS had to be better. The Yanks crushed Boston in their 3 wins and Boston crushed the Yankees in their final win.

    • @Liamflynnphoto
      @Liamflynnphoto 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +MetsGiantsRangersKnicksNYSports but those three games in between were nail biters. Two walk offs and a close game in New York that almost caused riots at Yankee Stadium. It wasn't just another series for the Red Sox too. It was revenge for 2003 Aaron Boone, Derek jeter and A-Roid.

    • @Liamflynnphoto
      @Liamflynnphoto 9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +MetsGiantsRangersKnicksNYSports might I also add that no team had ever comeback from 3-0 in a series

    A pitch that should have been called a strike, then an error. That inning should have been over.
