Any powder aerosolized in the air makes the air combustible. Lots of woods hops and grain mills have gone boom because they didn’t have immaculate dust collection and had a single spark.

    • @Ghost7579
      @Ghost7579 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Beat me to it.
What’s basically happened is he created a dust bomb, it was a very common occurrence in flower mills in the 18&1900’s

    • @surlycanadian
      @surlycanadian ปีที่แล้ว +3

@phoenixhomeless1522 would be ironic but probably since It is very heat resistant but not fireproof. Having said that, unless you are slitting open hepavac bags of asbestos from remediations, you wouldn’t find enough asbestos dust in the quantities needed to saturate the air with to try.

@phoenixhomeless1522 no it woud not burn, becaust there is no burn in these reactions the explosion comes from the heat expansion of all the small particles in the air which at a certain point happans instantly and it could be reached by any powderlike substance as long as the paticle / air ratio is good and the sparking heat is high enough...

He and Antoine Fuqua have that connection, where he gives Denzel space to do his thing. He said Denzel did the same in the original with the "When you pray for rain line" and in Training Day with the legendary "King Kong ain't got 💩 on me".

They wanted denzel for the 80's show! Denzel has said he would have loved to have done it but he was already on St Elsewhere, so they hired robert Woodward instead. This is also the first movie where he did the sequel for it. Part 3 comes out Sept 1.

    EQ2.
    Another kick-a** sequel.
It just never ceases to amaze in having one of the great actors of all time in a well-honed action thriller.
I liked how this one was a little more closer, more personal for McCall.
Betrayal has a way of bringing out the worse in people.
But you don't just think that with McCall, you'll get away with it.
    Ever better action sequences.
The car fight and the battle in the storm were awesome.
This outgrossed the first installment and became Denzel's highest grossing film ever.
EQ3 as the final chapter looks to be even more epic.

Coming soon: Equalize With A Vengeance!
Dakota Fanning is coming back to acting for that one. Whether it's permanent or temporary is another thing. Will be a nice reunion since working together with Denzel for Man On Fire.
Folks tend to focus on the more popular Denzel movies, while overlooking hits like Fallen, Déjà Vu, American Gangster, Virtuosity and Malcolm X!

I still can't believe they saw Alejandro as a John Wick character. He was simply an attorney trained by the CIA. He wasn't even supposed to be the most-skilled person in that movie, let alone 'magical' like John Wick. There's nothing out-of-character about him getting captured when he tried to do his own unplanned mission.
She wasn't telling him to go back to the CIA; she was telling him to go back to his and his wife's house.
You can tell if it's a one-way mirror by looking at it while touching it. He might have simply been assuming, though.

Common table sugar (sucrose) can catch fire at 662 degrees Fahrenheit (350 Celsius), which means that it is not technically flammable. However, powdered sugar, due to its smaller particle size and greater surface area, can be flammable and even explosive in certain situations.

    1. The Equalizer is not about action, it's about one man's struggle with his past and attempt to make amends.
    2. The difference between the first movie and the second is the main villain. The new villain is not as interesting as the old one, he wasn't a bad guy just a good guy that did bad things. We can see why Robert wants him dead but we did not feel for the death of Susan as much as we felt for the young sex slaves.

I actually preferred the villains in this one. I just couldn't get over the accents of the villains in the 1st. They were mostly supposedly Russians but speaking with Boston accents. It just kept taking me completely out of the film entirely. Also, they kept flipping between being intimidating and pretending like they were trying really hard to be.
In this one it felt more effortless and they stopped clarifying nationalities which made it a million times better. If the 1st one actually had people who were Russian, Irish, etc. instead of American actors attempting to use accents it would have been lightyears more believable to me. I love David Harbour from Stranger Things but his accent killed me the most!
The villains in the 3rd one I enjoyed the most. Of course, I won't clarify why until the reaction to the 3rd one comes out. But they improved with each movie down the line for me.
I completely agree with you that we definitely didn't feel as much for Susan's death, though, as we did for Alina in the 1st film and her friends. Susan's death happened so quickly, and she was hardly even in the series at all. We basically just know they were friends that worked together at one point.

Finely ground flour, floating in a concentrated cloud in the air, can ignite and explode. It's kind of a thermobaric bomb. If I have it right, these explosions used to happen accidentally before people caught on and started to A) prevent them from happening accidentally, and B) learn to do it on purpose in war.
As for this as a sequel ... yeah, to me it fell flat, especially the final encounter. For me, the boss fight wasn't satisfying.

The first one was a little better because he was mysterious. We didn't KNOW what he could do - he just did it and we were amazed, and were trying to figure out what else could he do. This one, we KNEW what he could do, so it wasn't a surprise when he did it, so we only mystery was HOW was he going to do it.

LOL, I still listen to the radio, because there's a really cool station here in Colorado that is all funded by listeners. So they play whatever they want. There's a lot of good music on that station. But I agree, the first one was a bit better. And I totally forgot that Pedro Pascal was the villain.

If you like Denzel Washington, try "Deja Vu." It's an excellent adventure movie about time travel. The premise is that the US government accidentally discovered how to do surveillance on previous time periods and then kept it as a secret intelligence tool. By the end of the movie, it's developed into full fledged time travel.

This one gave you more indication of who Robert was also what unit in the military he served in. This one felt a lot more personal on the on behalf of Susan being killed by his own unit. His own men do pretty much became mercs or Soldiers of fortune. Listen, how Dave tries to justify why he and the rest of them do what they do. It's typical we see this a lot in movies that are based in military or movies. Based where the bad guys form a military or something like that. And they go back to the government. Gives us a name, tell us that's the bad guy that was in the enemy. And then when the job is all done, they give you AA pattern to back and send you on your way. Typical things like that always, you know, stand out. And we've seen that kind of storytelling before, but haven't said that this one was more personal. Robert had to come to grips with his past and find solace in balancing his past. One of his main paths, mistakes is seeing what happened to his men. His men became like I said mercs for hire. The funniest thing is I knew Dave was on it. The moment I saw him I'm just like not he's, he's a part of it. I want I saw this movie with my brother in theaters. He, we were just like, yeah, he's a bad guy. You he, he's the one that's set everything up. Probably one of my favorite moments in the movie is the same between. Robert and miles where he talks about miles. Got talent and I love that scene where I don't wanna care. I don't care about you environment. I don't care about what the white man aint give you. You got town and use it, you don't know what death is. I love that scene so much, it it. It is such a beautiful scene. It's like a father talking to a son who is string from his path. But the father's gettin him back on the path. Robert was a father figured to miles. The other side stories are good too. But avenging Susan and miles is story really made the movie feel a lot more homage to the TV series.

At least for me, the first one did have a thematic aspect of making the main character Robert McCall seem so much more cool and the dynamic of cat and mouse between him and Teddy Rensen (the Russian gang representative sent to the United States) made him such a compelling character. I think as you mentioned, in the second movie they focused on Robert's existing relationships and took screen time to show the history. While this may make the story personal, it doesn't necessarily convey the feeling of (this guy is a badas* character).
Basically, in the first film there were scenes where you psychologically are compelled to root for him more like when he brutally took down corrupt cops, recovered his coworker's ring, shut down a money laundering area, etc. In this one, you had some of those scenes too but the focus was much more on empathizing with Robert McCall rather than simply being the mysterious vigilante hero.
