I think the stripes on the 'striped wolf' look less like the striped hyena and more like a different kind of hyena: the 'aardwolf'. So I'm not surprised they included this hyena in the wolf pack - we represent it as a wolf irl too :D

Obviously for balancing reasons, but still some unique tech that should've been embraced rather than banished. Can't say I'm as excited as I would've been if a few of these crazy features made it to full release

They removed the 1-tick Copper Bulb because Mojang couldn't implement it in Bedrock, so they made it 2-ticks in Java in order to have parity with Bedrock. Once again, Bedrock holding Java back.
The "front facing eyes means they're predators" is a pretty misleading myth. There's a lot of herbivores with front facing eyes, and also a lot of carnivores with side facing eyes.
You can make a new xp farm as well with allays and wither rose using the potion of infestation it’s hard to trap allays yes but it’s hella fast when you got many allays there.
I'm scared of spiders I dunno what they do, but if I look at those huge amounts of teeny tiny spiders I can't even hit, I'm gonna freak out and lock myself in a one-by-one obsidian house that I can't even get out of.
