Wow, Good for you! I’ve watched a few of your videos when I was thinking about pursuing my career as an RBT. I just recently passed my exam 🎉 and only had a few clients. The only thing I’m worried about is if this company can provide me with a consistent schedule so that I can pay my bills 😂. Idk I’m going to give it more time before I look into other companies in my area.
Let’s gooo!!! I’m proud of you! I’ll say this if after a little bit they aren’t providing you with a consistent schedule, MOVE ON! Don’t wait for them.
Hi! I watched your videos over 1 year ago when I first got my job offer as a BT. It would be great if you could make a video about how to manage burn out in this field. I would also like to know how you budget your finances in this depressing economy lol 😭 my agency gives $1 raises so I’m currently making $25 a hour (taxes make it less annually and i live in california so it’s rough out here) if it wasn’t for living with my partner who makes more than me- I would feel broke and would probably resent the job a lot for the burn out + lack of financial stability. I’m very curious on your perspective about this! congratulations on pursuing becoming a BCBA (that’s where the money is at!) you’re going to help so many kids and families. have a great day :)
That’s so awesome to hear you are still in the field!! I can definitely make a video on managing burn out as it happens a lot. As for managing my budget it is a little tough rn so I do have to do side jobs here and there to cover bills. I will say this job can not be your end goal if you want to raise a family. You have to keep pushing for promotions, starting your own company or going to school to become a BCBA. Then you will have a lot more financial stability. If you love this field just know being a rbt is just one aspect of it.
@@ramzitherbt I appreciate your response and transparency about how being a BT is like a stepping stone for you to eventually work up to more secure career opportunities! I look forward to a video about managing burnout 🤩
