Retired from EVE Online over 8 years ago. CCP has tried various new IP to grow and applaud them for willingness to try new things despite the failures. Fun seems missing from this early gameplay.
Sad to see CCP continuing its downward spiral. DUST514 was at least thematically interesting and stuck to the feel of EvE...being tied to the game was also pretty cool. This just looks like a FPS with a different skin and the mechanics dont seem exciting at all...
I think they're working on everything, including the features themselves as well as their implementation. There's no point developing polished UI or assets until they're sure the features and systems play well and are what will actually launch.
Seems like a FPS made from someone following a "unity FPS with survival elements tutorial" series. Unfortunately for Eve, this does not look exciting at all.. Coincidentally, just like their Spreadsheets in Space game. Maybe it will be be for the hardcore Eve players to get some other new resource while they have whatever amount of downtime.
Can't help but get very strong open world crafting survival FPS vibes out of this one. And we've had so many of those CCP really has to do something unique to pull some interest in it, and no, blockchain isn't the one.
Once they get this down, they need to then bridge the two games so you can fly in your spaceship and exit orbit into the normal EVE game, and add docking with enemy ship boarding in FPS mode :D
