Great question! The Cogent shocks are designed to be a factory replica in length. Some riders may notice their bike seems "taller" but, it's usually a case of the old shock was really tired / under sprung for the riders weight and now they have a shock with the correct spring rate, it does not sag as much as the old shock giving the illusion of a taller shock. If you are planning to use lowering links on any bike, let the shock builder know before ordering to ensure the proper spring rate is supplied. I hope that answered your question and then some.
