Holy shit. When I heard the two champions were going to be facing each other I was hyped, and holy hell did it live up. Had zero clue who was going to win until the very end. One of the best matches ever.

I've always liked Rob because he runs relatable routes. Michael Schliger and Seth Wang have the intensity I love watching!
Damn, Michael is one _scary_ chaser - he's like a machine! I got a hunch that it was game over for Phat when it was all hinging on outrunning him - and I wasn't wrong. Still a great and exciting match! What a start of a new series... 🔥
Michaels center control was phenomenal in this match. The way he swatted Luke stones off the mountain was incredible
I've been saying they're the best since the first WCT USA event and now they have the chance to prove it. I know it's just a group stage match but beating the UK champions is still a very big statement.
It's that wild case, where they've beaten PHAT by the inch of their lives (quite literally a few times) but also totally deserved all the credit
ETH has always been so smart w their match making, it's such a cerebral team can't help but appreciate. Still undefeated ig 🤷
And soon to defeat GNF. It's good choice Wang left and joined his original friends.

Man y'all would have love to be at York hall during this match. The atmosphere was electric. Two WCT titans going at it. It felt like a heavyweight bout with team phat giving apex their hardest struggle for a victory

This was definitely a great match to see! It’s really nice when 2 of your favorite teams go head-to-head! Always voting for Apex Eth because of Seth and Schliger, but Orlando and his team are just beautiful to watch regardless. This gave me that close match feeling like when Seth Wang’s old team faced off against United and Caryl won with that beautiful leap off the mountain

It's insane that this is just a group stage match. This had the type of speed and intensity that one could expect from a finals. I wouldn't be surprised if this was considered a group of death.

Man. What a twist. A bittersweet in my throat almost, even though I am happy regardless of victor.
However, I bet my hair testicle if they were to match up later, the result would be reversed according to roaster selection.

I doubt it. By analysing this match, it's clear that APEX have what Team PHAT lacks and that's skill. Olof, sliger, Jason and rob showed incredible dive tag ability through obstacles. Jason Begerons dive tag on Devon was pure precision. Orlando is the only guy on Team PHAT that has speed, power and skill in abundance. Luke Stones is super fast athelete but he lacks tactics and skill. Apex has access to quads in America unlike team phat usually and team phat focuses more on parkour rather than competitions.
Once Team PHAT get some solid quad training, they should be unleashed. Orlando and Luke Stones did most of the heavy lifting in the UK championships and Luke Stones didn't even get any evasions but he got phenomenal tags. If Luke stones got the skill of Orlando, that would be enough for team phat to beat any team
WHAT a match! This is the first match for either team that has felt loseable. Very tight stuff, not a single bad chase, amazing atheletes!

One of the closest matches ever??? Did you comment the wrong video? Hope to see more well balances matches in the future, and also with teams that are so well balanced. the deep dive tactic is what skipped the balance to APEX for this year. Next year other teams will adapt. But APEX will stay at finalist level for sure, as they don't have a weak link as so many other teams. A lot of homework for the other teams and maybe only to compensate by merges of MVP's

how to counter dives as an evader = as soon as you see them lower themselves into a diving position change your direction. just hard to keep your head on a swivel like that and see those moments as they happen. if your feet are on the ground when someone else enters a jump of any kind you always have the advantage. kind of like evading tackles in football (american football) .. cool to see the sport progressing

Awesome, extremely intense match. It's such a short game, tho, I wonder what people think about having 2 halves or even quarters, like basketball, football, kho kho... I mean there's a lot of precedent for it.
As a live sport, the quick matches adds to the intensity, I think.
