    One more comment: Frank Jenks was a most worthy actor. He was always a "second banana" but important in these forties movies. So many fine talented actors that were B movie star supporting actors that were unsung heros.

    Isabel Randolph portrayed Mrs. Uppington on Fibber McGee and Molly and years later was Rob Petrie’s mother on the Dick Van Dyke Show. Gotta love PRC - lots of small, local, independently owned theatres made their living running poverty row studio films in the 30’s/40’s PRC, Astor, Grand National, Monogram.

    Better get this bizarre film to a shrink immediately - it's seriously bipolar! Goes from practically slapstick to practically crime drama in a wink - and so does the music which changes as the mood changes. It's like you senses have been on the treadmill for an hour!

    In almost 50 years of driving I don't recall ever getting into the passenger door and sliding across the seat to get to rhe drivers seat, yet its a common occurrence in movies , and why do they always leave rhe lights on after shutting the car off, lol. With all that camping gear, they took the trouble of stashing it behind the seat in a two seater roadster instead of just dropping it into rhe trunk. Just little things I noticed , still a good movie though, funny and worth watching.
    Oh, what is "quick-line" they bought at that roadside stop and what was it used for ? ( I may have mispronounced that,it was difficult to hear )

    • @pattygonzales9605
      @pattygonzales9605 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I notice that too about them sliding across the seat ..and not using the trunk for the gear. lol
      Was also wondering what they were talking about 'quickline'?? So I had to re-listen to see what it was. Quicklime -- aka calcium oxide, was used in disposal of corpses, among many other uses.
