If yuh air down to 5lbs then it's much easier to wheel a lot better traction and if yuh bust a bead then spray some starter fluid on it light a match boom pops back on.
Mihai Buian both rigs had about 15psi in this video. the red rig had brand new tires but they had the same PSI. I do agree with you on lower tire pressure is the key but you can only go so low without beadlocks and keep them on the rim.
@@babayaga9102 referring to control arm lengths. Stock sized ish is short arm. Long arms mounting points are much further back resulting in a longer arm which is better for articulation
I'm building another XJ and plan to lock the diffs this time, going with AUSSIE because ARB hurts my wallet. lol. taking the doors off and having less people.in the back XJ took most of the weight off, And thats how the XJ shines, geared for speed and doesnt weigh anything.
Be gentle, I'm a newbie to this community. I've got a Grand Cherokee Laredo w/ QT1. Could I add a lock to either or both of my axles and be just as fine as someone with QT2? Obviously no 4lo is a whole other beast to overcome, but it seems like the locking diffs are a bigger issue.
ya know. I have a stock ass 95 on 30s no lockers. been through worse then that no issues with traction I am going to get a locker at some point but if dude would have aired down he would have had a clean run up those little ass rocks.
Yeah I was in centralia Pennsylvania this past weekend and took video of playing around. The camera truly doesnt do the trail any justice. I rolled through a 3ft snow bank and camera makes it look like a foot. The red jeep though was rockin brand new tires and both rigs were air'd down to 15psi. They were smart about things but those new rubbers weren't broken in lol.
15psi on a Cherokee is a lot. It take me going down to 8psi to get anysquat to my 33s. 6psi in the snow and no bead locks just a good steal from with a good back lip to it.

If you had just parked the car and got out, you could have easily walked up that hill
You have never been on a trail like this, have you?
low tire presure is the answere for open diferentiel

I run 33s on my Cherokee at 6psi no beaddlocks
never lost a bead.
A short armed jeep with lockers will go further than a long armed jeep with stock axles.
what is short armed? or long armed?

@@babayaga9102 long arms keeps axle centered, more max articulation, mainly from joints and having a lower angle by being long
@@babayaga9102 overall just better geometry
Gotta crack a cold Busch beer after making through those rocks
What is the difference between a short arm and a long arm Cherokee?
The control arm length on the front axle.

Jason Powers doesn't take much to make these things heavy.
A limited slip is not a fully locked differential…
The front was locked front and
"rear limited" the red was Open, Open
Go to 15 psi in your tires and you'll see the difference to much air in your tires
nice. thanks!

problem is that without the 4lo your transmission will be over heating
I'm just trying to figure out what the limits are is all, honestly. I don't want to break anything too soon lol
Cole Hintermeister then dont lock it if you dont want to break anything too soon cause something is gonna break soon with a locker

Erik Tulgetske Video can be really deceiving when it comes to angles.
