Avicii was special man. I play death/thrash stuff and grew up on everything prog and there's still just something important about Avicii's music and his influence on music and people's lives in general. Phenomenal cover too

They say about themselves they make "Musketeer Rock". Best song is "C'est la Vie". They wrote it as an uplifting song for all of us during the C. crisis. The lyrics are soo great and the video filmed on a real castle is cool! Or if you want an English song: "We're gonna be drinking ft. Candice Night, Blackmore's Night" (A very famous musician has a cameo in it, you will love it!), if you want to have Sabaton vibes: "Wallenstein" or "Völkerschlacht"

C'est la vie is a great song. In fact it is such a great song that they released an English version of it as well. And to be fair the name "Blackmore's Night" kinda gives it away who that famous person might be. It's her Husband :D

@@qcvitals I can find no evidence of this. According to everything I can find, the song was written by Ben. There are numerous songs with the same title, but none of them sound remotely close. To which song specifically are you referring?

Fun fact: I'm friend with Svenja (Bens wife) and i'm organizing Larp Events, and we had a small Event on new years eve some years ago, like a themed glamrock party placed in the 70th (but with zombies ;) ), and we needed some guys playing a band to hand a golden vinyl for best record. Happend, that Svenja organized Ben with some friends to play the band, which later become D'Artagnan. :D Was awesome, real nice dudes, very chill and friendly.
    For info, it's spelled Darr-tan-jan ;)
P.s: Your german becomes quiet good, cudos to that. :D

I am huge dArtagnan and Feuerschwanz fan, also fan of medieval, folk or pirate themed music, obviously mostly rock and metal, and to me also this kind of music has that "homie" feel. I cannot count how many times I cried because I heard a violin in a rock or metal song, it just hits different. Sounds weird but it just fills up my soul somehow, like a warm hug 😄

My favourite festival is Feuertanz for this. 2-3 years and you will pretty much see every medieval rock band. From In Extremo who are too big for most other festivals to the smallest bands at a gorgeous location. The only reason they didn't grow more was that they can't fit more than ~7k people in front of the stage in the castle.
MPS is nice for a chilled low cost way that tours all over Germany. But no real camping and only 2-3 bands on most stops.

It is indeed a huge cover, and suits perfectly to their Musketeer theme. And now days it is great, that there is so big variety of folk metal bands on themes and sounds, that it hopefully won't suffer same-wise suffocating overflow as 10-15 years ago when in Europe there were hundreds of bands which played somewhat upbeat with someone doing accordion or mandolin and called emself folk rock or metal with little to none original ideas. Obviously only the strongest survived, and rest had to re-gather their ideas.

Thanks for the tip by the way. I kinda knew about the band but your video made me see the tour dates amd realize that it was just two weeks until the concert. I still only bought the ticket like 3 hours before the event, because I was sick for a week and not sure I would be able to go. For the same reason I had not listened to any of the album songs. So, I was probably the one person in the hall that only knew one of songs, except the covers. It was still great.
I went to more concerts this year than in the past several years combined and it's partly thaks to you. Literally went to see Disney (that one is not on you) and Sabaton within one week. Feurschwanz some weeks later. Also, I saw Saltatio Mortis announced at of the location dArtagnan was playing at. So, I might manage to add another concert to my list, if I have the time. I stopped caring that I always have to go alone and just do it anyway, because I can.

I saw dArtagnan a little less than a year ago in Munich...and it was epic. I wasn't sure what I was in for...but afterwards, it was totally worth it.
That having been said, when I saw dArtagnan in Munich, Patty Gurdy opened for them. So, to that end, you might as well check out the dArtagnan/Patty Gurdy song "Farewell". Of course they performed it together...and it was the only time that I've seen someone throw a bagpipe to his tech like a guitarist might toss his guitar.
And while we're here, Ben performed with Beyond the Black during their "Origins" acoustic concert on the song "Night Will Fade" which is cool too. (Oddly enough, I saw BtB the day after seeing dArtagnan and Patty Gurdy.)

Hi Tank! I'm very much enjoying your videos - as for Avicii covers by German Folk (/medieval) bands I also recommend "Fuchsteufelswild - Wake me up (Avicii-Cover)" - there's something about this video by this band that makes me smile when I watch it, mayhaps it works for you too ;-).
It's definitely a little more on the "unplugged" side than "high production values", though ;-)

"Brother...Brother...Brother......BROTHER!!!" Shawn Michaels when he was making fun of Hulk Hogan is all I was feeling during the brother part.

I barely have any idea what folk metal is but if this is a good example, I need more recommendations because that was awesome.

dArtagnan was kind of a meme in Germany because their song "Was wollen wir trinken" was on the radio non freaking stop. This cover is pretty cool.

I gotta tell you, I have been hearing this version of the song in my head ever since the original came out, and I can't believe it's finally a real thing! D'Artagnan NAILED IT with this

Bands like this are the reason I save up to go to European metal festivals. Like Tank says the smaller bands are great but seldom manage to come over to North America for tours.

When I saw them wandering around in the gras, at the final scene of the video, I got some vibes of the old German commercial for "HANUTA".
