turning u tube into tv is annoying and fruits / veg not healthy my recent heavy metal blood test show high arsenic and MD specialist said is from fruits ( water is contaminated with pesticide ) he said : cut on fruits and eat more meat ❗
@@leiladasha I also bet you don't eat organic and don't wash your fruits or veggies. Meat literally kills you, he doesn't want to fix you he wants to prolong your issues so he can keep getting paid.
I am 15 years old, and i am thinking about going on a plant based diet. And I honestly did not know the difference between the two. I didn’t understand what they both meant. So I thank you for me having a better understanding.
I wish I didn't diet during my teens and 20's it's screwed up my metabolism. Plant based lifestyle was what changed things for me. Make sure you watch people like Kiki and high carb Hannah etc . if you have low self esteem also see a counsellor the two go hand in hand. Good luck on your journey .
Kiki, I love you, your content and have seen many of your videos as I’ve decided to recommit to this lifestyle. One quick note, “irregardless” is not a word, I say it with love. It’s “irrespective” or “regardless.” It’s a common mistake many Americans make. Having lived in the UK and being grilled by my boss there on English vocabulary, grammar and punctuation constantly (I had to write reports for him and this guy was Oxford educated), just wanted to give you that tip. :-)
My husband and I started eating this way, with the help of Kiki & Hannah back in January. (I purchased the Lean for Life book) My husband has lost 20lbs, and I am down 16lbs! I'm shocked really at how much we eat and the pounds keep melting. I always think of Dr Mcdougall saying "the fat you eat is the fat you wear". It has been a game changer for us. Thanks so much Kiki❤ You are literally saving lives, so that makes you a super hero🦸♀️
Thank you for the simplicity of explaining calorie density. I was not counting calories at first but then hit a plateau so then I started and realized I was not at a calorie deficit. I was always confused because a lot of people I follow say no need to count calories in order to lose weight then they would say you need to be at a calorie deficit. That is why I was confused. At any rate after trial and error, I started preloading on soup twice a day, in addition to counting calories I finally hit my goal weight. I love all of your videos but this one I really enjoyed they keep getting better and better. Thank you for taking the time to educate us much appreciated.

Love the video, I have just finished 19 weeks of potatoes only and following high carb starch based way of eating. I lost 33lbs since Jan. I have been following spud fit and I’m chuffed as I’m one of his super spuddy interviews! I still have 15lbs more to go and I’m vlogging my journey on YT. No doubt the last 15lbs will be the hardest. @@NicgetsFit I did a juice fast for religious reasons then I felt like I didn't want to eat meat and dairy, so now I've been eating vegan and love it so far. I assume I will have meat here and there. Just don't want to diet anymore it's exhausting.

I tried high carb low fat diet before and gained a ton of weight and your video just finally gave me a lightbulb moment as to why. The bulk of my meal was starchy carbs. I was eating the full plate of pasta with sauce with a few pieces of broccoli, rather than loading up half my plate with broccoli and then having the pasta as half my plate! I literally just need to increase my veggie intake! I am going to give this another try. I can't believe something so simple was at fault for my rapid weight gain. Thanks so much for this video!!

Great explanation Kiki Love your chart includes animal products showing 1100 calories. Most plant based charts don't include that so you don't have a comparison for S. A. D. eaters. Excellent presentation, you're the best. - by the way it's deficit not (defecit) small error.
This is so wonderful! That was a great explanation! I went plant based last year, but haven't lost weight... so I'll eliminate the oil and start on the 50/50 plate... create a deficit, makes so much sense! THANK YOU!

Best explanation of calorie density so far! Some more cons of calorie counting that I experienced when I was in another weight loss program, may become grumpy, may be required to reduce your calories even more. Btw I had already reduced my calorie intake to 1200 calories per day at which point my “life coach”asked me to reduce my calorie intake even more! No wonder I became a total grump. Happy with this way of eating! Since completely changing over about 2 1/2 months ago I’ve gotten rid of 17 lbs. It took me about 8 months to completely change over to this way of eating so don’t give up people! 😊🌸

I’ve been eating WFPB for about 3 months now and haven’t lost a single pound! I’m 42 and also nursing. Before I started I checked my blood work and thyroid levels - all good. I was really avoiding calorie counting but that may be my only option at this point.
I was having the same issue. My kids’ pediatrician told me that when you’re nursing, your body responds as if it’s in a famine to provide for your baby. He told me to wait until after I’m done with breastfeeding, when my metabolism returns to normal.

Thank you for showing the difference with the strawberries. I understand the concept of calorie density, but I was always thinking....whatever, I will just eat less if I want tahini for example (not that I won't use that sometimes) but if I use a less calorie dense dressing, I will have less calories in total for the same amount of satisfying food.

Hello. I understand how to look at calorie density density in general when looking at each different food, but how do you understand knowing whats okay to eat in regards to calorie density when looking at a recipe. For instance, like a meatless meatball recipe that includes something like 1 cup lentils, 1 cup oats plus veggies and spices etc. How would you calculate the recipe to understand how calorically dense it is in order to know if its okay to lose weight. Thanks!
Remember.. calorie deficient should never mean nutrient deficient.. watch your micro and macro intakes.. cuz you should be deficient in any of the important vitamins or minerals or amino acids.. takin a vegan multi everyday is really helpful.. (It should have d3 from lichens and not d2... eat sun dried mushrooms if you like..no problem but d3 derived from lichens is important.. no cruelty involved though..so it's a win win for me)

I understand the concept of calorie density, but I was always thinking....whatever, I will just eat less if I want tahini for example (not that I won't use that sometimes) but if I use a less calorie dense dressing, I will have less calories in total for the same amount of satisfying food.
Do you recommend sequencing?

Hello. I understand how to look at calorie density density in general when looking at each different food, but how do you understand knowing whats okay to eat in regards to calorie density when looking at a recipe. For instance, like a meatless meatball recipe that includes something like 1 cup lentils, 1 cup oats plus veggies and spices etc. How would you calculate the recipe to understand how calorically dense it is in order to know if its okay to lose weight. Remember.. calorie deficient should never mean nutrient deficient.. watch your micro and macro intakes.. cuz you should be deficient in any of the important vitamins or minerals or amino acids.. takin a vegan multi everyday is really helpful.. (It should have d3 from lichens and not d2... eat sun dried mushrooms if you like..no problem but d3 derived from lichens is important.. no cruelty involved though..so it's a win win for me)
