OMG!! I was there that day, never knew it would be my only time seeing an F-4 fly, so glad I did. Was just AWESOME to hear that MOFO fly, I knew it would be loud and it didn't disappoint.
Wasn't trying to give you a flip question, now I understand ! Hahaha As the F-4 is a huge part of my generation, it doesn't occur to me that it would not be considered a"modern" warbird. I'm stuck in time ! In my defense though, don't forget there are still F-4 Phantoms in active service still all over the world, including the Luftwaffe, IAF, Japan, etc. Don't let these mellow F-4 performances fool you, the pilot is not pushing it. The F-4 can still rock the world BIG TIME.
The scariest, most welcome sound is having a Phantom roar up behind you while you are laying on the ground trying to defend a position that is being attacked by incoming enemy troops. Once your body starts to resume functioning after the shock of a Phantom atttacking at an altitude of about 50 feet you wonder when your "innards" will return to their customary locations. I certainly FELT it!!!
Someday...I do want to head overseas and see one of Japan's F-4 demos. I've seen videos of their air shows and they really just let the aircraft loose. I know safety is a big thing, but I think US air shows push it too far. If you compare F-16 demos, the US is kind of mundane compared to how the Dutch fly theirs, and don't get me started on their Apache and C-27 demos.
Here are two videos that a true F-4 Phantom fan can chew on ! Check out here on TH-cam, "F-4F Luftwaffe Low Pass", and "RF4 RightNow NOISE! RF-4 F4 Phantom F-4" I think you "like" !

The movie was called "The Final Countdown" (1980) starring Martin Sheen. I haven't seen that movie in years, your comment reminded me that it existed.
i can't wait to see this tomorrow! great shots!
Thanks for taking time to post so soon, you must have been tired after a full day at the show !
Definitely nice to see the F-4 in flight after all these years!
Great video mate!

I am very interested !!!

Although well obsolete by todays more sophisticated jets, you gotta love this warbird the f4 phamtom.
@TheSirjohn2012 Yes these planes suck ass compared today's more sophisticated planes but they are a huge part of history though!
Phantom’s like,”C’mon,Grannies.”.
😍😍😍🙂
Was that a German Phantom?
I don't understand, why wouldn't it be all warbirds?
Nice video!!! @spencerhughes2255 Thanks for the Respone! :) Awesome Videos
Sure is strange seeing an all-warbird Heritage Flight
Dongskie2 that was "the Final Countdown"
Cuz its fucking amazing.
There's usually a modern military in it too.
4 kills for that Phantom at 1:22-1:26!

why are people cheering and clapping an aircraft? I love aviation but that seems random and pointless
