Yes Mark Price needs to be in the Hall of Fame! They say the Basketball Hall of Fame is generous, they're actually only generous to who they want to be generous to.
I totally agree! Not only did he have the misfortune of having back problems, he also had the misfortune of playing in the same era as Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson and Patrick Ewing and Daughterty was near the end of his career when Shaq entered the league.
I'm sure Brad Daugherty also wishes he had modern medical treatment knowing Dwight Howard while not as good as he was in Orlando still made a couple more All-Star Games and played until he was 36 after he had back surgery. If only Michael Jordan didn't exist and if injuries didn't kill Mark Price and Brad Daugherty's careers right?
If Kyle Lowry's going into the Hall of Fame, Mark Price most certainly needs to be in already! The only thing Lowry has an edge over Price in is longevity. That's literally all.
I absolutely agree! Kyle Lowry has the championship too but as the 3rd best player on his team and more of a glue guy while also never having to face Michael Jordan's Bulls.
KJ most certainly yes! Brad Daughterty made more All-Star Games but also had a shorter career than Mark Price so I'm kind of on the fence with him. He probably is the most underrated center of the 90s though since the position was so stacked in the 90s.
I would not describe him as fast. He had solid speed and was very athletic, which made him elusive. Often we describe athleticism as only having the ability to run fast and jump high.
I don't remember exactly what I said about his athletic ability but it was something like he wasn't the fastest guy but he wasn't slow. I agree running fast and jumping high isn't everything when it comes to athleticism though. Endurance is definitely part of it too.
Maybe offensively, but no way Price was nearly the defender that Stockton was though. Stockton was a guy that'd get in your grill on defense even in his old age.
@@Amick44 Because Stockton never prioritized scoring and was much more of a pass first player. Mentality wise, I don't know because Stockton was miles ahead of Mark Price on defense and was even getting in guys' grills when he was old.
Very good player in his prime but I'm not convinced that he's a Hall of Famer. He'd definitely be better if he played today knowing he was a sniper from 3, but I'm not quite sold he belongs in the Hall of Fame.
Hey, could you do an updated video on James Harden being they most overrated superstar in league history. Looking at this man's elimination game stats, you would think ur looking at a 10th man rotation player. JH does NOT make his teammates better. I just had to argue someone saying JH got Embiid his 1st MVP....Could u even believe someone said that utter blasphemous nonsense. I am not saying JH isn't a good player. I'm simply stating the man is NOT a superstar. Not only does the man not make others around him better, but he stunts the growth of potential young players on his own roster. The options on what offensive you can run are seriously limited with this fake PG. Everyone says oh look at his assist numbers. When ur usage is that high, you better be getting 10 assists a damn game. Here's my "hot take." James Harden is THEY MOST overrated player in NBA history. If I were the 76ers I would trade his azz to Crimea for 2 PB&J sandwiches and a root beer.
You can now see that I already made a video on that as I can now see your comment on that too. 😂 LMFAO That guy thinks Embiid won MVP because of Harden? 🤣 Embiid did average career highs but to think that's because of Harden is insanity LMFAO.
@showtimenick824 Yes, TY. I'm not ever gonna say JH is bad. All I'm saying is he is the most overrated "superstar" in league history. Kobe said it best. His style of offense CAN NOT win a ring. It's all ball screens on wings and isos. That means the D is able to keep everything in front of them and that's easy to guard in playoff situations.
@@showtimenick824 Tom Chambers is another...only 2 players i believe to score 20 , 000+ points and not in...and it took ( luckily before he passed )...39 years for Bobby Jones to get in...

Thank you for this. Mark Price is the reason I fell in love with basketball
I'm glad I was able to make a video you happened enjoy! Thank you for watching!
So am i
Not only is Mark Price underrated but so is his running mate and pick and roll partner Brad Daugherty.
I totally agree! Not only did he have the misfortune of having back problems, he also had the misfortune of playing in the same era as Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson and Patrick Ewing and Daughterty was near the end of his career when Shaq entered the league.
SEND THIS TO THE BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME. HE NEEDS TO BE ENSHRINED ASAP.
It would be nice if this can reach them somehow someway! You commenting certainly will help this reach more people so thanks for that!
Definetely a MUST
Mark Price and Brad Daugherty were my faves as a kid and still are.

What a difference it would have been to not have MJ squashing teams.
5:08 I love this segment!
Yeah, the fact Mark Price isn't in the HOF yet is wild.
Real talk!

Yes! Mark Price belongs in the Hall of Fame! How about his running mate Brad Daugherty or another underrated guard from the 90s in Kevin Johnson?
KJ most certainly yes! Brad Daughterty made more All-Star Games but also had a shorter career than Mark Price so I'm kind of on the fence with him. He probably is the most underrated center of the 90s though since the position was so stacked in the 90s.
Oohhh. The longevity factor is the issue. For Mark, KJ and some other's. It certainly isn't their talent or production.
Impact on the game is part of the Hall of Fame criteria right? If so Mark Price most certainly made an impact with splitting the defense!
Yup!

I thought Price was every bit as good as Stockton.
Maybe offensively, but no way Price was nearly the defender that Stockton was though. Stockton was a guy that'd get in your grill on defense even in his old age.

Absolutely! We get this to 1000 views and I'll make a video just like this for another Dream Team 2 member, Kevin Johnson.
