Always love the way you do your review, Ginny. The way you speak is real and honest. Unlike the other lady from that other channel-her way of speaking is not natural, not sincere, trying hard to sound sophisticated.
Rear sits are foldable. Moreover, you could show what might be packed into a boot with both opened and a closed roof, as well as with folded sits. The rear sits can be troubling for a person over 180cm, but otherwise are absolutely OK.
Although cabriolet are meant to be practical , but the mercedes comes close (I.E if you dont have friends or family taking the rear seat , and rather ur plus one and some kids or some adult once in a while) its kinda of a good car for its price . p.S good review guys , keep it up :)
Agree, I have a 4 series and a new Ford Focus or a Honda Civic comes today with more gadgets and a bigger screen! BWM is nice but really needs to step up in interior quality for the steep base price of their cars and stop selling everything as an extra!
One of my favourite cars. Better than BMW or Audi. Although diesels are less popular now depreciate faster. She is a great presenter and really beautiful. Mercedes do have better interior and exterior design than rival brands, more sleek. Elegant. Doubt many convertibles sell in UK. Or you'd buy one for long distance runs to france or spain.
yes, cheapest in Germany suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=312271604&categories=Cabrio&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&isSearchRequest=true&makeModelVariant1.makeId=17200&makeModelVariant1.modelGroupId=6&minFirstRegistrationDate=2014-01-01&pageNumber=1&scopeId=C&sfmr=false&sortOption.sortBy=searchNetGrossPrice&sortOption.sortOrder=ASCENDING&fnai=prev&searchId=d77d4f2f-0755-93b5-51c7-bb7c6ffb0c97
I've got to disagree on the interior compared to the BMW and Audi. I've never been a fan of Merc interiors anyway, but their insistence on plonking a cheap tablet with a huge bezel on the dashboard just looks like an afterthought and cheapens the entire interior. I much prefer being in one of its competitors.
name changes I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree and put it down to personal opinion then. The BMW interior is definitely better than a Ford or Citroën but I also think it's better than Merc's as well. That centrally mounted after thought of a tablet with huge bezels in the Merc is simply awful. Mercedes' newer interiors in their bigger models is much better; let's hope it moves down to the mainstream models soon.
name changes watch the video. 1.35 in. Ginny points out the "quality" issues in the cabin. And that the tablet divides opinion. So there you go. It's a personal opinion. And not everybody likes the interior of the Merc. If you do, that's great and bully for you. I don't. Bully for me.
The BMW four series has a hard top, this is cheaper to insure but takes even more boot space. I have an A5 cab which I think is best of the bunch and the petrol TFSI petrol engine is better than the diesel.
I don’t get why most would be looking at the diesels. If you can afford this, then you’d be fine paying for petrol. And diesel in a convertible is just wrong. In an open car the idea of having diesel fumes coming out of it doesn’t give me a good feeling either.
And some people don’t understand why anyone would want a gas-guzzling 6- or 8-cylinder in this car. These cars come with multiple engine options for a reason - so that there is something for everyone who has an interest in the car. I’d get this car with the Diesel engine because I drive a lot and need the fuel economy and want the longer legs of these Diesel. The low-end torque is also nice. This is a quick car, in both acceleration and top speed. These engines are refined and clean. Don’t believe the current anti-diesel slandering which claims all diesels are dirty. These new Euro-6 diesels are CLEAN. Depending where you live a diesel can also make sense given the automotive tax structure and fuel costs.
I honestly like the BMW more, Mercedes is getting a bit old, although some may say BMW interior is getting dated, I like the iDrive system and the quality more.
i do NOT like the interior, why do they put an ipad stuck on the dash, just looks rubbish, Audi have uped their game and BMW is have the idrive, so merc in a 3rd place for me
I don't think it's an 8 speed auto. It's a 9 speed g tronic which is not as good as the 8 speed ZF. Also that engine is not smooth as you said.... It's quite a rattly old thing.
Did she say all models come with artificial leather. I hate the U.K. Version of Mercedes. America would not stand for artificial plus MB sends the best models to the states. They know people would buy a domestic car instead.
GeoTechKing I stand to be corrected but I’ve seen American reviews of this where they say ‘MB-Tex’ comes as standard which is what Mercedes call their artico leather in the states
romeoandthelonelygirl Yea your right but most people in states order from the factory I did. Why order from factory and get mb-Tex that’s my thought. Now the showroom got models with MBtex because there are still more impulse buyers out there who wants cost lower.
The articifical leather or ARTICO is the most horrific material for car seats. They look and feel rubbish, they’re hot and sweaty and I always find they STINK of plastic too. It’s terrible. No thanks.
Thomas from Autogefuhl doesn’t just dislike leather because of the animal skin aspect, but also because it’s cold in winter and sticky and uncomfortable in summer. And it’s true. I remember summer road trips as a kid in Volvo 740 with leather seats and it was unbearably hot and sticky. It sucked so much. Would always go for fabric seats now.
Not everyone wants leather, even in a luxury car. Besides, leather is overrated and essentially high maintenance. Fake leather, like MB-Tex, is more durable and easier to clean - and it looks like real leather. Seriously, it’s difficult to tell what’s real leather or fake leather when they’re side by side. I for one DESPISE leather. My dad’s 2010 E350 CGI has leather and I hate it. It’s slippery and thick, which means the seat heaters take forever to warm them up during the winter. In my cars I always would want CLOTH seats, and I am glad that Mercedes (and other German brands) give me cloth seats as standard in most models. I would not have it any other way - because I hate leather. Leather is overrated, to me. I don’t understand this fetish for leather in luxury cars, especially since some of the earliest luxury cars had cloth seats and some of the current high-end luxury cars in Japan for example use sheeps wool or cloth instead of leather for the seats. Leather is overrated and I don’t understand the fascination for it. But that’s just me. Now please excuse me as I have to get into my BMW (with cloth seats) and head out somewhere. ;-)
How is that embarrassing? There are plenty of cars on the market that take longer to hit 62 mph. My BMW does it in about 9.2 seconds and I could care less. It’s fast enough for me and I can safely accelerate and merge onto the Autobahn or any other road that I wish to drive on. 0-62 mph is so overrated and I find it pathetic and borderline idiotic that people make such a big deal out of this.
Heavens_Time True the front was brought out with the 2014 c class saloon but with new Cls could be a inspiration so it could do with an update since it’s going to be 4 years soon but it still looks very clean and classy
The Merc may have a better looking interior but its style over substance, the BMW's interior maybe dated but it's quality is far better and that iPad stuck to the Merc's dashboard just looks hideous. Right now I think Audi's have the best interiors.
I am going to get this car !

Beautiful machine!😍
I will definitely add this Mercedes C Class Cabriolet in addition to the Audi A5 Cabriolet @top of my next car shortlist.
Although cabriolet are meant to be practical , but the mercedes comes close (I.E if you dont have friends or family taking the rear seat , and rather ur plus one and some kids or some adult once in a while) its kinda of a good car for its price . p.S good review guys , keep it up :)
At 0:32 the fit around the headlights doesn’t look great. Might be the shadow?
Excellent review. Thank you.
Her oresentation is very elegant to say the least i am subscribing.
I prefer the 4 series looks and driving style but the C class dose have the nicer interior
Agree, I have a 4 series and a new Ford Focus or a Honda Civic comes today with more gadgets and a bigger screen! BWM is nice but really needs to step up in interior quality for the steep base price of their cars and stop selling everything as an extra!
Good video! The audio in the voice over sounds a bit off. Are you using a different audio setup?

I have one of these (almost identical but the 250d) and I love it. They’ll be even better in a few years when they start to hit the £20-25k mark!

She did well with this review; even a prod test involved
Definitely getting this car
Nice to see James again ☺
But if the C-class competes against the A5 and the 4series, against who does the E-class competes then?
E class is lost in space between the 4 series and 8 series when the class coupe and convertible came along
Is it dress down Friday?
Scott Chegg you have to love those jeans?
interior needs to be updated with big screen like new e class and upcoming a class, so interior is nice but that cheap plastic screen no mercedes feel
Fascinating 👏🏻
Does the roof leak after time?
I bought the C Class Coupe, mainly due to the restricted boot space with the roof down on the cabriolet.....
Where do you think the hood is going to go?

Mark Daniels bmw 4series cnvertible interior looks as good as any ford or citroen...definetly not on mercs level!!! you blind

Audi interiors dull? 😂😂 wow
i know; huge open goal miss there; surely she meant exteriors xDD
Gareth Burton It‘s true
Gareth Burton...
Just what I thought; she was obviously paid to say that nonsensical comment!
Women drivers huh!🤦🤣
Nice little pop in.
Looks nice
4 series for me lighter better looking cheaper roomier comfier in my opinion

Christian W new diesels are certainly cleaner. But far from clean.
C43 is magic (if your wallet has the same shape as an oil well)
who knows the music in the video? it sounds really relaxing. thanks!
I honestly like the BMW more, Mercedes is getting a bit old, although some may say BMW interior is getting dated, I like the iDrive system and the quality more.
I think the BMW is better but damn this looks sooo much better!!
i do NOT like the interior, why do they put an ipad stuck on the dash, just looks rubbish, Audi have uped their game and BMW is have the idrive, so merc in a 3rd place for me
"rear seats only for children" - said the old woman who fitted perfectly in the rear seats.
Ex0ticB0i her knees were in the air
XboxCarsForza were they now.....
😂
She wants it all.....best to consider a S-class convertible for $100K!
Think that she is a BMW fan? The C Class cabrio is not a sports car. It is a 2+2 grand tourer ... and well designed for the purpose
I don't think it's an 8 speed auto. It's a 9 speed g tronic which is not as good as the 8 speed ZF. Also that engine is not smooth as you said.... It's quite a rattly old thing.
Bih said 0-62 in 8.2 & quick in the same sentence
Why are you reviewing that now ?
Did she say all models come with artificial leather. I hate the U.K. Version of Mercedes. America would not stand for artificial plus MB sends the best models to the states. They know people would buy a domestic car instead.

I see what you mean. Its better to have artico than cloth though right? Also, what kind of US domestic cars would compete with this?
romeoandthelonelygirl Buick Cascada competes with it right now for price. AMG models forget it.
yes. there's an option for either artificial leather or real leather. The artificial is for people who are a bit more eco an animal friendly
It's a 9-speed automatic gearbox, not 8-speed.
The articifical leather or ARTICO is the most horrific material for car seats. They look and feel rubbish, they’re hot and sweaty and I always find they STINK of plastic too. It’s terrible. No thanks.
Would be nice to be spoke more clearly and louder ...
Mercedes Benz never ceases to amaze car lovers, the best on the market in all classes, MB.
I prefer everything of C to 4, but it is not a hard top...
3 months and half from now I’m gonna choose between jeep wrangler and this
Why did they make the front look like playdough?
"Artificial leather seats that just feel great". If this wasn't a Mercedes you be slating this
No bmw better than Mercedes
Are they serious? It has drum brakes at the back!!
Giorgos Tzavaras are you sure, if you look at 0:18 they look a lot like disc brakes to me.
Wouldn't call it spaces it's a convertible 😂😂
Why don't they make 4 door version of this?
dilanz51 they do, the c class saloon
dilanz51 this is a convertible!!!
Because it's really difficult to make a four door cab and if they did it would affect the performance of the car drastically..
Yes!!! Finally someone thinks the same, suicide doors like the ´62 Continental
It’s a coupe
Prefer the E Class but...would choose a Porsche Macan...
Fake leather for what it costs 🤔
You can spec real leather instead of sensatec/leatherette. It will make Thomas from Autogefuhl happy anyway ;) He hates "animal skin".
stubones ...right but I'd think a MB would come standard with leather.
Agreed!!
Thomas from Autogefuhl doesn’t just dislike leather because of the animal skin aspect, but also because it’s cold in winter and sticky and uncomfortable in summer. And it’s true. To much poor interior quality, the 4 series have a boring interior design but with great quality, I prefer the 4 series and a5 cabrio.
Better then the 4 series? yh not a chance!
Cheap, flimsy materials in places is unforgivable in a Mercedes Benz.
Who wouldn't spend 1000 quid on 40bhp?
Mat watson's wife!!?
Great fitting jeans my lovely,
Looks superb, the car's not bad either
1. BMW
2. Merc
3. Audi
dont tell scotty Kilmer
0-60mph in 8.2 seconds is embarassing. I can't think of a car that goes slower than 8 seconds nowadays.

ikr; my F30 shopper saloon does 7.9 xDDD
C Class vanilla even now does 7.4!!
Only 4 seats not 5!!!
Renault enough said
The exterior looks really good but getting a bit old
I like Ginny, don't be so rude!
nowtleft2 no one said anything about Ginny?
I was talking about the cars exterior!
Heavens_Time True the front was brought out with the 2014 c class saloon but with new Cls could be a inspiration so it could do with an update since it’s going to be 4 years soon but it still looks very clean and classy
Cave Edico it was the original video it now has been uploaded again
What? totally no way; if anything the upright design makes it timeless and makes any older models look like worn out lizards
Just put a suitcase on backseats to lower the roof!
Only if you live in a safe enough city, not London 😢
artificial leather? C'mon, give me some cow leather!
0 - 60 in 8.2 seconds. LOL.
Broke boi
this woman is irritating.
