Wonderful competition of BEAM (WAG) Finals. Congratulations 🎉 to 🇫🇷 French gymnast Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos for both a powerful and graceful balance beam routine (23:28), with a NEW dismount! 👍 routine by Melanie: front tuck mount, pike front somersault, bhspg layout to 2-foot landing, then the tucked double back with full twist dismount! That was the first time she had ever competed that! WOW.
I absolutely love these commentators! Especially the male commentator, he is so lovely. He has a great sense of humor but remains professional, speaks of corrections but is incredibly supportive (how he spoke of Latvia’s gymnast’s (I’m sorry to miss her name) beam fall was fantastic) and has a clear love and respect of and for the sport. Such a HUGE difference from the American commentary, especially coming from Tim Daggett. He would have berated every single mishap, mentioned Biles (who is great and it’s not her fault that Tim is obsessed with her lol) fifty times every minute, and would offer zero positive feedback while Nastia would sit there trying to offer some “professional” feedback about the actual moves...while talking about Biles..maybe 20 times every minute 🤗😩😩🤗😩. They should listen to this gentleman..what is his name? Olly? The woman is Blythe? Very well done by both and a joy to listen to 👌🏻👍🏻👌🏻🤗🤗🤗
It's so clear that sanne's problem on beam nowadays is confidence! She misses one skill(combo) and she gets nervous. She could've perfectly nailed the spins combo till the end. Oh well , She did fine anyways! I'm happy for her. :) ❤ Great and rare stick at the end!
I like these commentators. They are so much better than our American ones. Nastia Liukin is good but the rest talk too much you can't enjoy the routines and then they just point out every single mistake but no compliments on amazing moves and tricks. Also if they fall its the oooooooo end of the world. Here they're like oh that happens, off days, good thing not to risk injury. I thought that was amazing. I also think Whitney Bjerken is amazing. She can do six Wolfe turns. She could definitely go to the Olympics if she wanted to but going to college is an excellent life choice. And 29 year old twins like wow!

Does Melanie have an aversion to grabbing her knees on a full in? There's zero reason to do it open- it risks deduction for loose position, low landing, and a large step. It's not aesthetically pleasing either- full outs are meant to be open, full ins closed...

She did have higher execution but her difficulty was lower cos Melanie upgraded the dismount. This doesn’t look too shady to me
