I think Christine is amazing. She is the best commentator in the world in my opinion. In terms of that story, I don't believe it. A bigger question would be...where were this gymnast's parents during all of this?
I'm really not sure why you are making these vicious comments, especially when it's here say from someone else years ago. All you are doing is defaming a great person. Innocent until proven guilty. In addition the comments before were how phenomenal a commentator Christine was...and she is!
The point is you brought up a negative issue about a great woman that really wasn't necessary to tell. Anyone can make claims about anyone. The single article against Christine probably hurt her personally and professionally more than you will ever know simply because someone made those accusations. She was never convicted of anything. Just because someone accuses someone of something, doesn't mean it is true. If any ounce of that story was true...it was probably more like she had a stress fracture (which would have been confirmed by a physician) then and only then would it be determined if she could still train or not. I personally don't believe the story. So unless you see this story go to trial and she is convicted of something, it's not necessary to repeat that trash.
DO NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO. All you are doing is stirring the pot and your stupid comment was t even warranted considering the topic is how good Christine is as a commentator. You had to throw in someone's story that may or may not be true. Had nothing to do with her being a commentator. Your goal was to make her look bad. There was no other reason to do that. Period end of story. DO NOT MESSAGE ME AGAIN!
Also, props to Vasiliki. At 30 yrs old, that routine was so impressive. I wonder where she would have ranked if she didn't have the fall on her dismount
Wevers, damn.. I LOVE her turns. It's so awesome to see that team really take advantage of the COP and get very creative. Can't wait to see them in Rio.
The 2017-2020 CoP is out now, and none of her turns or free cartwheel have been downgraded. The only real difference is that she no longer gets CV for her cartwheel-combo and is better off finding a different acro series. The new code does not prevent her from utilizing turns for the bulk of her difficulty though.
Very happy for Claire Martin, must feel awesome to put on a great performance in front of your home crowd. Also on an unrelated note, Martin's leotard is so so beautiful; might sound stupid, but I think certain leos can make you look more elegant and enhance your performance
Its amazing to see the Americans execute their difficulty better than the Europeans, but there's something more elegant and beautiful about the Europeans
This is a great competition, but I miss the innovative moves from the 80's Euros. For example, 30 YEARS AGO, in 1985, both Silivas and Omelianchik completed triple twists off beam. A ridiculously difficult skill today that was, I think, introduced, in 1985. I would love to see a double twist on beam attempted, or a 3 1/2 twist dismount. Why not go for it at the Europeans?
Here are all my thoughts, since this is the internet and I can do that. * That camera situation is really annoying. I hope this won't happen again. - That Greek girl has the most gorgeous leo ever. I want it. Also the dismount was almost as scary as the choreo. ;) - Kharenkova looks miserable all the time. - Munteanu's routine was solid but super boring. - Wevers--awesome. Needs some clean up obviously, but I am seriously loving the Dutch team lately. Anyone know who does their choreo? It's beautiful. And that girl is a turning machine! - Claudia. Oh, Claudia. I liked your sheep jump. Nothing else really stood out to me. - Becky Downie's side aerial + LOSO was awesome. That is NOT easy, folks. - Pauline Schaefer has great flight on all her skills. Makes things more fun to watch. That side somi half situation was pretty cool. I can't remember seeing anyone else attempt that except maybe Jana Bieger? She was always doing weird beam skills. Anyway, I hope you nail that one down. I liked that routine. - Claire Martin looks like a ballerina. Has weird knees. That front aerial + sissone + side somi combination was awesome. Sassy choreography, amazing extension on jumps. A well-deserved win.
Dennis G The entire weekend of competition was like that. It was HORRIBLE. It was like they thought they were shooting the fluff pieces for a meet or some gym documentary or something. Cinematography, not standard sports videography. Closeups on the feet during nothing fancy, not even a spin. An up angle from the podium floor shooting the gymnast who's dancing and making her way to the opposite floor corner - able to see mostly just the OOB and a tiny ant gymnast doing her leaps and dance to the corner. A zoomed in shot of the effort faces on bars or their hans, unable to see ANY part of their body for like two skills. Zoomed in hand placement on vault while the rest of the vault carries on beyond the view of the camera, without catch it until the landing. All these creative and strange angles...zooming out and in and back out again right as something important is about to happen...then overhead in a fancy, twisting variety. It was dizzying and horrible and made me motion sick. A gymnast could begin a tumbling pass and mid-pass they'd jump to the opposite corner and make you feel like she's somehow going *backwards* now, or just....leaving you so disoriented as to which way she's facing. I hope they're fired. I could barely watch it.
I hope that German gymnast gets the chance to have her skill (the side somi with a half twist) credited! Surprised the hell out of me, especially when I'm so used to the standard side-aeirals/flic-flacs/onodi's.
Nope. I actually kind of agree. Claire Martin is so graceful and beautiful, and she didn't really make a mistake. I would put downie in bronze, munteanu in silver and Martin in gold. I think Martin should've gotten 8.6 execution which would put her at 14.4 which would've beaten munteanu. I do agree with the scores of downie and munteanu.
Marketoromagnolo Well i think this is one fo the million examples of the CoP preference for difficulty over execution. That's why we have Paseka winning in VT EF, Biles winning beam in Nanning, Maroney in 2012, etc.
Marketoromagnolo The Romanians get their e scores from their leaps and aerial skills. They're very high and the always have the best splits. And then there's the D score.
No she wouldn't. Her d score is 6.4 so she would've gotten 4th with that e score. If you want to go into, her potential 6.6 then she ties Claire Martin but still gets 4th because e score wins in a tie break. I don't know if they used the tie break in this competition but still.
At a national championships. D scores are always inflated at nationals. Her actual d score is 6.6 when she hits which she rarely does anyway. Either way she can still beat simone. Her real competition is Larissa iordache and Andreea munteanu.
Sarah Molina it was only devalued because she didn't complete the last layout because she fell on it so it doesn't count, and she didn't do a leap series hence the .5 deduction because that's a requirement. she lost .8, .3 for connection and the skill, .5 for the leap series that she never did.
Jana Valenová Hey fucktard. Turns are the most difficult element group on beam. of course she was shaky. She had one of the most difficult routines physically
Christine is the best example of a Gymnastics commentator who is excellent. She is the best in the world. No one is better than her
She and the gentleman commentating are such a pleasure to listen to, no one is better.

This camera work needs to stop. For beam, just keep it steady.
Braden Mills U're right. Who is the producer?? "you're fired"!! looll
Just use it on replays, like at 8.25 (nice job)
a bunch of drunks who just started film school!
Also, props to Vasiliki. At 30 yrs old, that routine was so impressive. I wonder where she would have ranked if she didn't have the fall on her dismount
Around 14.066
Deduct. That's fair.
Sometimes u learn by messing up. Is this an example? No, this really hurts. I know that. Tough girls these gymnasts are!
First time I've watched the European championships. I am very impressed with the commentators.
Courtney Kolenda Mitch Fenner died just before the Olympics this year.
I really love these announcers. my favorite to listen through to the routines with elements named with great enthusiasm!!
Wevers, damn.. I LOVE her turns. It's so awesome to see that team really take advantage of the COP and get very creative. Can't wait to see them in Rio.
MissLilRedRooster And look what happened! From a fall at euros to an Olympic Gold medal, what a journey.

I really appreciate this commentator. Unlike the americans they say very nice things about other competitors. That's the right mindset.
Very happy for Claire Martin, must feel awesome to put on a great performance in front of your home crowd. Also on an unrelated note, Martin's leotard is so so beautiful; might sound stupid, but I think certain leos can make you look more elegant and enhance your performance
+kamila Ford You don't sound stupid. I observed her leo too. The upper part especially looks like a dress. It's really beautiful.
Vasiliki Millousi is SOOOOOOOO damn pretty!!!!!! I'm moving to Greece..........
The French girl was beautiful to watch. Her hair was flowing in the air.
Sanna really impressed me. Those fabulous spins are soooooooo difficult
Its amazing to see the Americans execute their difficulty better than the Europeans, but there's something more elegant and beautiful about the Europeans
classic style
Sanne Wevers Routine was really bad and now she is a olympic champion :))
The turns from Wevers were wonderful tho♥
I loved Andreea Munteanu's routine. It was beautiful.
What a shame for Munteanu to have retired after that. She could've been an Olympic medalist on this event.
The camera crew/producer needs to get fired...
Bravo, Andreea! Un exercițiu de Aur!🏅

Oh, that Greek gymnast! Constant finalist only to crash when it counts most.
I know she's amazing. Without a fall she would've medaled. Although I like Claire Martin a little bit more but milousi is amazing as well.
Here are all my thoughts, since this is the internet and I can do that.
* That camera situation is really annoying. I hope this won't happen again.

how was andreea boring? she did a back tuck full and a triple twist dismount, both in combination!
And to think a year after this championship Sanne got a gold medal on the Olympics..
CLAIRE MARTIN IS WHAT GYMNASTICS SHOULD RETURN TO.
BEAUTIFULLLLL
Andreea had a huge future ahead of her.
aller claire martin ont t adore touts.Aller La France ! ❤❤❤...
Whoever was shooting this seems to think he's shooting a David Fincher film rather than a gymnastics event.

How dreadful. What were they thinking???
Dennis G They weren't thinking. Whoever is in charge should feel like such a dumbass
got dizzy watching this, maybe the producer thought it was some kind of musical or something like cirque du soleil.
I hope that German gymnast gets the chance to have her skill (the side somi with a half twist) credited! Surprised the hell out of me, especially when I'm so used to the standard side-aeirals/flic-flacs/onodi's.
Finally, a side somi that didn’t look like crud (hate that skill, even though I know it’s difficult)
mettre la musique des jeux interdits alors que Sanne passe a la poutre était pas une super idée
3:48 Does anyone know what the music was?
What is it with Martin's knee?
Catiana Louis a piece of tape i think....or maybe she has an extra knee bone.
i feel so bad for the greek girl, her routine was so smooth and beautiful until the dismount happened
I miss great beam, since I love it more than bars n vault. That was a painful drop!
Very annoying camera work
Munty Munty 💙
Back then, you wouldn't have a competition with a shitload of gymnasts falling off the beam. Seriously.
so sad for weavers :( she had such an original series...
I know all of you will kille me, but I think Martin deserved gold and Munty bronze, she was too nervous and wobble routine
Nope. I actually kind of agree. Claire Martin is so graceful and beautiful, and she didn't really make a mistake. I would put downie in bronze, munteanu in silver and Martin in gold. Marketoromagnolo Difficulty matters too you know? It's not only about grace anymore. That was like 30 years ago.
More than half the score is coming from execution so yeah grace does matter the point is Martin was way more solid than all the competitiors for sure,
Marketoromagnolo The Romanians get their e scores from their leaps and aerial skills. They're very high and the always have the best splits. And then there's the D score.
If they had not devalued Kharenkova's D score, she would have won with that E score. Let that sink in..
No she wouldn't. Her d score is 6.4 so she would've gotten 4th with that e score. If you want to go into, her potential 6.6 then she ties Claire Martin but still gets 4th because e score wins in a tie break. I don't know if they used the tie break in this competition but still.
No, her D-score is 6.8

Zyxcba Simone now has a 6.8 d score on beam
the music makes me feel like I am sitting in a cafe inn paris
Name of the song when germany was on beam pls? Can anyone help me?
this looks like podium trainings not an apparatus final
Elles sont trop forts
Il faut que tu t’entretient vachement plus 😤
Isn't the camera work terrible?
Wooow... it's so cool that there was a german gymnast😎🙋🙊
13:49 - frags' sheep jump is questionable at best
Sanne Wevers falling on her easiest element, then going like 20 seconds over time, then winning the Olympic gold medal the next year is so camp
holy crap, i think that big handsome hairy brute sitting with claire is dmitry karbanenko!
i love french
That first girl was doing soooo well until her dismount :(
여성빔 결승 2015 유럽 선수권
claire martin claire martin :-)
Munteanu was perfect and Millousi also, with 31 years. But Wevers? Amameur, is she really part of beam final at the european Championships?
Jana Valenová Hey fucktard. Turns are the most difficult element group on beam. of course she was shaky. She had one of the most difficult routines physically
Claire's knees are shaped weirdly😂
Horrible camera work!
claire martin fais mieu !
You guys watch out for Becky Downie
Her favorite word is "supple".........=)
Claire Martin la mieux
How did downie have the same execution as Fragapane? *sighs
Mahesh Subramaniam Go to Fanny Villedieu youtube channel, she has it filmed in a better angle.
А что так низко Каудию оценили? Она гораздо лучше..
Disappointing competition.
Wtf everyone fell? Ugly lightning tho
