Always good to see a doctor educating the public. Do no harm and stay honest.

Have you seen Basilar Impression, global atrophy, and/or rapid connective tissue failure with MCAS?
    Complex Case ahead…
I was super healthy and ultra fit-just had a subtle swallowing issue from the military (started in 2016 and slowly progressed, like an allergic tightening in esophagus). In 2020, I got swollen lymph nodes in my abdomen mid-year. Two months later, I get painful popping at the base of my skull not long after a chiropractic adjustment. Then breathing issues with exercise. A year and 60+ doctors later, I’m fighting for my life with all you’ve discussed (PENTAD SS), and several autoimmune problems that are out of control. Trying to get transferred from my current hospital to UAB f/ their rheumatological group and Transverse Myelitis clinic.
*I’m showing positive for Lyme, Bartonella, Babesia, TBRF, Mycoplasma Pneumoniae, even E. Hystolitica…POTS/OHypo, Hypogonadism, low iron/ferritin…did a month of iv antibiotics but continued to progress with spine atrophy. Underwent PLEX and IVIG a few months ago after NMO antibodies showed in my CSF, yet still progressing…now unable to support spine or neck and become symptomatic when moving neck…was diagnosed with Basilar Impression, possible Tethered Cord, intracranial hypertension, and a lot more.
Thank you-really appreciate your work and these videos.

I get brain fog when I get exposed to things like air freshener, hair spray, food fumes from foods I cannot eat (especially grains!), etc. But if I avoid these things my memory is very excellent!! So I am busy trying to avoid many common everyday things. And it really affects how one can or cannot socialize. Because other places & people love these things I need to avoid. I also got the bad chills from the hair spray too - my former roommate would use hair spray and the smell would come into my bedroom and even though I was warm under the blanket I would start shivering so badly! Burning eyes and later my brain fog was so bad I was forgetting everyday things! Now I live by myself. I have the celiac too! Living on 4 or 5 foods.

@@Sarah, yes, I recently heard that scents can cause a histamine-like reaction. Maybe it was the beginning of this video where I heard that. 😆
B1 (thiamine) might possibly help. You might look into high-dose thiamine. Allithiamine is a natural source, and 500mg is considered high-dose.
I hope you’re doing things to get to the root cause, and I hope you get better! My mom also deals with synthetic fragrance sensitivity, and it’s a challenge for sure!

IMO, Acetaldehydes are used in perfumes and Acetaldehydes are hard on the body....alcohol converts with an enzyme to acetaldehyde then to acetate then to acetyl co A that can be used by the krebs cycle ( atp production in mitochondria). Genitics, toxins, or lack of necessary nutrient precursors can downregulate enzyme function. Some things like molds and candida can produce alcohols and acetylaldehydes. Mold exposure can block glutathione production. Not good. Consider Dr Ben Lynchs videos and work.

I hate when the medical world changes the name of an illness midstream. 😵‍💫 😂
