    Children really like your sticky ball game and I enjoy playing it too. This game looks fun as well, I'm going to try this week.

    Filling in the spaces with words students need to read or make a sentence with would make this an effective game for vocab. Thanks for the great game.

    Will try to play this online in Miro today! Another way of injecting an English task could be to pick out 6 words for each side of a die to make a sentence with eg student rolls a 5, makes a sentences with the fifth word, then moves around the map. If you play offline, you can lay out target vocab cards on the floor, and have students stand on a card of their choice, make a sentence and throw the dice. This could be a good way to make it a somewhat active game

    Hello Guys with Games, thank you for sharing your resources. They have given me ideas on how to reinforce vocabulary and concepts in a fun and engaging manner.
    I am trying to customize this game to reinforce the concept of Slope in my Algebra 1 class. I want to have them roll 2 dice. One dice will be Y and the other will be X. The Y dice can only move up or down. The X dice can only move left or right. So for example, a student may roll a 6 on the Y dice and a 5 on the X dice. And to reinforce the concept of Slope, they will have to move the Y number of spaces first, and then X.
    My question is that will this mess up the game you laid out? Will I need a bigger grid since there are two 6 sided dice involved? And do I still need the +1 for the Rabbit to make it balanced or can I discard that completely?
    It would be a great help to know what your thoughts are on how I can customize this to make the game tailored to Slope and still engaging and fun. Thank you again for all that you do!

      Sounds fun. I’ve been giving this some thought, and here’s what I’ve come up with:
      I would make a larger grid; maybe 20*20 with the bottom left corner being the (0,0) position. Although a grid can continue infinitely, announce to the students that you are playing the game to #20.
      I like to color code things, so they are easy to understand on first glance. So maybe I would draw the whole grid in black, but the top line in red and the right-most line in blue. The red team is the Y axis team and the blue team is the X axis team.
      Then I would have one student from each team roll a dice and advance a magnet from (0,0) to the new coordinate. Each step of the way, you might take time to explain or elicit information from the students about what the current slope is (and who is ‘winning’ so far)
      The goal would be to cross the red/blue line first.

    The wolf needs to land exactly on the rabbit. Does the rabbit need to land exactly on the outter dot or that square next to it or through it

    • @GuysWithGamesESL
      @GuysWithGamesESL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. The rabbit doesn’t need to roll exactly; just enough (or more than enough) to get out of the main map.
