The amount of creativity and inventiveness in this channel is staggering. The spelling game is such a great gimmick for making dictation more interesting. Will most definitely try it!!

I like the 1-12 game (usually I play 1-10) with added substitutions. Usually I play the first time with numbers (and also have the numbers written on the board). After the first round I begin to take away numbers and add vocabulary words. So student 1 could potentially say 1,cat,3 and student 2 says rat,5, hat. Follows the same rule of the initial game but also adds the rule that students must read the word correctly in place of the number - if they say a number that has been replaced by a word they’re also “out”

Ha! I’ll try your version… but I may confuse even myself with the substitutions. I usually play with the students

Great games! I've played the number game normally 1-13 but I'll definitely give the months and spelling a try. Cheers!

Tanushree Majumder thanks for the suggestion. We don’t film our students for privacy reasons, but perhaps we could have more teachers help us when we play the games as an example

@@GuysWithGamesESL i wanted to mean that previously you demonstrated with your team. That was easy. As a teacher, I too respect the privacy. Just a little of demonstration would do as I have found the ideas quite interesting and in the past I played your games with my students and it was quite fun. Thanks

Hey, thanks so much for your games! They are lifesavers and the ones I've tried are very popular with my students! Are you guys located in Taoyuan?

That’s great to hear. And yes we operate out of Taoyuan.

how about you guys create a wechat group

陈圣洁 thanks for the suggestion. That’s another way we could potentially reach more educators in China. We have limited experience with WeChat, but when we considered this in the past, there was a limit to 500 people in a group and I personally don’t like the lack of moderator control on the WeChat platform.
      Perhaps, we should look again.
