    Finally a tool I can get behind. I've spent so much money with Spanish lessons in Mexico and did not really get anywhere close to what I am in a very short with your program. Thank you so much. Love the 75% speed

    Pretty easy to follow

    it was actually easier to hear the 1x speed because the 0.75x speed was distorted making it much harder to follow the words. Great video btw!

    Hola, i am a new subscriber and I'm new to Spanish. An older lady in her 80's moved in a couple houses down and she speaks only Spanish, no English. My god daughter speaks Spanish, so she was able to talk with her but I only know some basic Spanish (the free 8 Spanish Paul mini courses, Fluenz Spanish 1 and the Spanish for Dummies book mainly + duolingo) I've already noticed that much of what i am taught sounds nothing like the real (fast) Mexican Spanish with the words all flowing together and very fast. Do you think your Patreon course will help me out with that ? Being 50 years old i don't hear as well as i did in my twenties anyway, so definitely need to get up to speed, and quickly si posible'. I'm willing to work extremely hard. Thank You !

      Hola,
      Thank you for subscribing to the channel. Regarding your question, my PATREON channel is NOT a course. It's more of a collection of activities for all levels, from beginners to advanced Spanish learners with a clear premise, to show real audio at all times. So the conversations, dialogs, stories, etc are very fast paced, even for beginners, but there are tons of activities to enable you to understand that kind of language. If you are systematic and willing to work hard, they are terrific!

  • @musashidanmcgrath

    Doesn't this go against your theory of not slowing the audio down and not reading until the end?

    • @SpanishLikeaPro
      @SpanishLikeaPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      You know, different tools for different jobs. Not reading is always by default my first choice. This is a different approach in case you are dealing with much more difficult or advanced materials and you simply can't get what they are saying no matter what. It's not truly listening comprehension but more reading to enhance listening. It's more focused on building vocabulary. It works really well, but as I mentioned, it's not my first choice of exercise.

    I was just thinking today how frustrating it is that I can read Spanish pretty well now and I can understand it when it is spoken slowly and clearly by a teacher like yourself. However, something comes on the news about say an earthquake in Mexico and they are interviewing people and I understand zilch, nada and I think what is the point?

    • @SpanishLikeaPro
      @SpanishLikeaPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, It has to do with the way words connect and blend in real fast-paced speech. I have a whole series addressing that here:
      www.spanishlikeapro.com/index-advanced/
      It's item #3 in the table of contents.
