The Kashmir issue is placed at the UN seeking resolution by INDIA and NOT by Pakistan. The violator of UN resolutions is actually Pakistan which is required to withdraw from Kashmir. To-date, Pakistan has NOT adhered to any UN resolution and has perpetuated terrorism in the lands of the region.
If the U.S. is just interested in India because it’s a big market, then by that logic Pakistan being the sixth most populous country should be a big enough market for the U.S., no ? The U.S. India partnership is comprehensive from defence to GM seeds. Indian IT firms are one the biggest employer in the U.S. today. Don't you think Pakistanis should think of every policy element from this point of view? Don't you think you should start questioning what your country has lost in your pursuit of Kashmir as policy focus? Don't you think you should dispassionately reconsider if you want to not focus on Kashmir in the interest of State of Pakistan?

The world is tilting towards sanathan dharma and therefore towards India also. Sanathan dharma is consciousness based and not intellect based which are the basis of man defined religions. India has succeeded in influencing the world through only conscious means and not thru the crooked intellect as understood by the world. It's very difficult to digest the importance of consciousness. That's the difference.

Dr. Cheema Sahib, the great Christian federation that launched Crusade lasting about 300 years dissipated with the demise of Catholic Church. Curiously Muslim Umma never had a comparable central command system like the Catholic Church and its political power was asked on the empire and emperors that were Muslim. The Christian nations became secular and entered and ushered the industrial and Information Age. Muslim Umma remains faithful and mired in self destructive mind set. Sooner or later Pakistan will have to become more scientific and less illogical.

The root of all problems for Pakistan is exactly as you have said it Dr. Cheema - "Kashmir is the cornerstone of Pakistan's foreign policy". It is exactly this obsession that has been the core reason for your downfall - economically and politically. This too to India's benefit. India has stronger problems on the border with China, but thankfully has adopted a more holistic approach in dealing with them, and that too without compromising on the core ideals.

Hamid Bashani is a wise man as he is holding back his punches. The truth is the subcontinental Muslims in the early 21st century were fed an idea that your problems should be everybody's concern and all we have to do is to create a tantrum and everybody should fall in line. For 76 years, USA and West closely followed their alliance member supported and abetted Pakistan after knowing the beginning, middle and end of each of Pakistan's initiatives. Now that Pakistan's geo political location ceases to be of previous value, they are amenable to move from the farcical and self serving views and positions. Main rationale of Pakistan's four wars are that USA and West will intercede when their own chips are down. So one could say US and West decided not to go along with Pakistan having known its activities intimately.
