Yes we know ourselves as bharat but others as India. They also have the right to call us India because it's also related to our glorious history. Just like we call other countries with different names other then they identity themselves such as Japan, China, Greece, Germany etc.

The diff is only india, indians oppose bharat for use by indians. In Japan no one opposes use of nippon the Japanese name within their country. No German opposses use of Deutschland to refer to their country

This is a deliberate attempt of QC to create a controversy.......he knows it but will not mention the Article 1 of Indian Constitution "We the people of India, that is Bharat....." Just like at the start about the significance of September 5, he deliberately didn't mention that the adventure was started by Pakistan in the form of Operation Gibraltar. He does the journalism of convenience and keeping the speaker confused.

yes but we shouldn't discard India either. Countries like japan and germany still use their traditional names without giving up on "Japan" and "germany". The word India has a lot of soft power, it has become a brand in a sense. We've got the Indian subcontinent, Indian ocean, ISRO etc.

We Indians know that we know that we have won all four wars decisively.
Only in 71 we did something, everything else was just defensive and we saved our land. I don't consider it as win. We would have done much more than what we did. Kargil was huge mistake, we had a chance to cross pok but vajpeyee was failure. 65, shashtri was failure and 47 Nehru was failure.

shastri was not failure in 1965..as in 1965 we did not have enough military capabilities due to neheruvian policies.
in 1999 we couldnot cross LOC because of possibility of nuclear conflict..
the kashmir problem would have been solved in 1948 itself, but chacha neheru went to UN .

Regarding Kargil, we had a chance to cross loc because they crossed it. We can't cross without any reason now as it can do nuclear. Also we are nuclear power too, did pakistan think about it? They are 8 times smaller still crossed loc.

My point is that the India would not be the large country we have today, had it not all come under British rule. If british would not have unified then India would be many countries (mughal, sikh rajput maratha tipu nizam chola bengal etc etc) and scores of princely states.

Calling Bharat is like going back to your roots. India is a name given by the English. Hindustan is a name given by the moghuls. Both the moghuls and the English were foreign invaders. So the first line in the constitution should read, "Bharat that is India, and also Hindustan, that is world's largest democracy ".
