Is classical guitar busking a thing? And whats the best way to approach a business like a cafe about playing some classical guitar with a tip jar or something? I have a little portable amp I bought for busking classical guitar at some point, but I haven't tried it yet. I haven't gathered the courage yet, and am not sure what to expect.
This is a really good list and I had some thoughts about these ideas and you validated them! Well articulated and informative for any experience level. Thanks for this video. We all appreciate it! 🙂
Liebe Beatrix, I’m so glad I’ve found you! Thank you for all the tips :) I’m a professional violinist, but I kind of lost my way and started the self-doubt circle again. It seems like, I just lacked a little guidance. On to work now, thank you for a push, I’m really gonna use them all 🤗🤗
Hey hey, I do have a noisy house now and the only time I can record music is after midnight. That’s when the house gets a bit quiet. I try to be quick with the recordings not to bother my sleeping neighbours. If teaching is also not an option I’d prepare an online course and design my whole marketing around it. It’s more upfront work but you can record it in a small studio, quiet airbnb or during lucky hours at home. I also used to ask friends if I can come over to them to record a song when they weren’t home, it feels weird to ask but my friends are very supportive

Am Agree With You Beatrix👍And You Make It Us🤑💰And I Think If You Have More Some Money Am Suggest You For Build Music School Or Become Private Music Teacher
I appreciate you want to help, I wish to share this with you: money is to do with condition which means it is apart of conditional love. Music comes to us though true love, which is to say unconditional love, and is why musicians naturally manifest music without conditions such as accepting money first. I don't mean to disagree with what you're saying, I think this truth is helpful to identify though when wanting to know why so many musicians go unpaid or work hard and paid very little because in the whole grand scheme of things, we are all sowing that which we wish to reap, which in the case of a musician, is unconditional love. This is why I enjoy accepting donations for my time/music if I ever play rather than ever get involved with being paid a fixed amount to perform the same tasks with the same conditions etc
Hello Beatrix. Here's a suggestion for a technique video: I'm a beginner level guitarist and today I noticed that there is a clicking noise when the RH nail/s makes contact with the string/s. As a guitarist you want to eliminate unwanted sounds of course and you also don't want to practice with poor technique, that likely is the cause of this issue, so as not to ingrain bad habits in your muscle memory. It would be nice if you could adress it in a future video of yours. Have a nice day.
Hey there! I think the solution to your problem will be to shape your nail in a way, that your fingertips get to the string first, and it only touches your nail when you push it into your fingertip.
@@genji4433 Thank you for the suggestion :) It raises another question for me though: Don't you ideally want to hit the string with the nail and the fleshy part of the finger at the same time?
@@Seepferdchen91 the ideal thing is for it to hit the flesh, and from there, slide onto the nail. The transition between them should be really smooth, that way there is no ugly sound. Figuring out the ideal nailshape for you can take some time, but these are the basic principles of it.
no, in my experience flesh first by the tiniest possible amount, and the string must slide easily onto the nail from the flesh. I had a couple of lessons with Narciso Yepes in 1974. He pointed out that he could play perfectly straight across, no angle of the nails to the strings and produce no clicks. He did it by touching the flesh of the fingertip so close to the nail that the string could not bog down into the fingertip and release suddenly to the nail producing a click. It works. of course some Angle of the nail on the string is more forgiving. @@Seepferdchen91

I would charge them as well. A smaller fee but a fee. Why? It helps establish in their minds that you are a professional and this is not just a hobby. Friends and family seeing you as a professional will make it more likely that they will refer you. Most and the best clients/students come from this source.
Notice how attractive musicians also do much better financially and in marketing themselves; looks are everything. Musicians are paid low because they are in low demand (especially in Classical music) and the current supply satisfies the demand. The market is unfortunately not asking for more musicians, they are just asking for beautiful people. It's terrible but it is what it is :(
Not really, a lot of behind the scenes multi millionaire producers rarely show their faces for marketing. Max Martin , bob rock, Scott storch, Mike dean. I mean if your goal is to be a pop icon I guess but you don’t have to be the face of everything lol
You forgot about the best tip of all: Make misleading videos which have noting to do with reality in the hopes that people watch some ads. Unless you care to share with us how many copies of your CDs you've sold and how many tickets at your latest concert everything in this video was a lie.
Yeah bro, spoken like a true Christian. Your channel seems to be doing really great. I think I will follow you instead because you called something a lie. Like you know or something.
