I bought it when it first launched 1 year ago. I love wearing these daily., especially 3 minutes of video recording now. Music and phone calls are the best.
Did you have trouble with wind making your eyes tear? How well do transition lenses keep up with riding through shady and sunny spots on the trail? Thank you for the interesting video.
Great questions, the wind blockage is not as great as you would get from wrap around glasses. I didn't experience any tearing, personally. I found the transition to be decent. The dark green lens at the darkest level feels like its at 80% darkness so when it would transition..it would return to transparent shortly in shady areas.
Nice review, the product has interesting features and, as you highlighted, a few shortcomings. The worst issue, for me, is that I would never wear this kind of glasses while riding, either on or off road, most cyclists wear cycling specific glasses, for valid reasons. Anyway, thanks for letting us... know 😊
It would be helpful to hear about whether it's possible to use the photo capabilities without using the internet search capabilities. Also is there proprietary app to take the files off the glasses and onto a phone or laptop?
yes , you can use the photo/video capabilities without being connected to the internet. there's a "meta view" app that imports files off the glasses onto your phone so it does consume storage space on your phone once its imported.
I noticed that you were wearing these with a visor under your biking helmet. Does the visor ever appear on the video because of the wide angle? My helmet has a visor and I’m worried it might show up on videos.
Good question and I see the concern-it depends. cycling caps have smaller brims than regular hats so it rarely interfered. there is a chance your visor could peek in while recording if it's on the longer side.
It would have been helpful to see how the glasses look when worn. Thank you for the detailed breakdown.
OMG !!! I had no idea these even existed. Looking into getting a pair.
they're great! curious what you think of them when you get your hands on one!

4:22 "And now we're in the summer." Probably someone complaining about how cold the Bay Area was in the summer? LOL
