A Holiday is just another spin of the Earth if you think about it, no more special than any other 24 hours. If you have a heart attack on Thanksgiving or a fire in your home, there are people already at work ready to respond. They didn't get the day off. I worked lots of jobs that require holiday work. Eventually, you learn no day is more special than any other day, except for the people of privilege. Taking a day off is a day off, it should be enjoyed equally whether its Christmas or St Roger of the Prairies Day.

@@wayneanderson8034first responders are absolutely necessary, however coroporate greed has convinced americans that working 70 hours a week through holidays is somehow a virtue, just to have half of it stolen by the goverment, no thanks ill take the holidays off and enjoy it with my family
Thanks. We need people like you to work those jobs so we can enjoy our days off. I've been working eight years, and I've never worked a major holiday, nor do I ever plan to.
Quick question so each company does a pre trip differently. During orientation do they give you a sheet t on study or do they expect you to know it how they do it?
Like working on Holidays, having to clean your truck out for hometime and they treat you like they own you. I will keep my home every night job and make almost as much money.

@truckerbug4507 😂 walmart daycab here. I'm at 145 with two pay periods left, secondly nobody micromanages you like you think. I come to work, have 2 or 3 runs of 4-8 stores and take about 30/45 min per delivery. Everyday I'm home with 2 or 3 hours left on my 14. I dont even put fuel in, thats done overnight. I was O/O for 8 years with 1.3 million miles, and I would be the first to see or know firsthand if I was being micromanaged. It's not here.
I decided to work through the Holiday. Just easier for me. Happy Thanksgiving everybody
Thursday and Friday is my off days also...

From the videos Ive seen Wal Mart is a crappy company to drive for. There are better companies to drive for if you wanted a good job.
