A few words would be helpful: this feels sturdy; that part seems cheaply made, etc…. This is frustrating, and about one minute is all that I can take.

Did you not notice that you can add a battery to a tender well if it had it will have sound for the engine and passenger coach for lights and both takes 9V batteries
I mean, it did have a connection with wires that connects to the engine

From the tender a cord is connected to the locomotive, this, as I understand it, in order for the headlight on the tender to shine. But why doesn't it shine?
I used to have one of these, I don’t remember if the tender light did work but it did have sound, the speakers were in the tender and where you plug the cord into the locomotive there’s a switch to turn the sound on and off.
The light on back of the Tender should only shine when Train is in Reverse (if it is wired).......

No this is bigger then O. G scale stand for Garden it’s meant too be used outside in a garden hence it’s name G scale Garden. O is half the size of G. HO half the size of O. N is half the size of HO and Z is the tinniest 2x the scale of N.

Thats a rare train...
For me, their rare. But rather uncommon. I’d say the earlier sets from 1989-1990 are rare.
I have this set as well as another Bachman Big Hauler G scale. This set s battery powered and the other Big Hauler set is electric. All parts are interchangeable between the two sets. It’s been at least 10 years since I last ran either set.
