As someone just beginning to delve into Diablo lore, I’m always eager to watch new videos from your channel. They’ve been great in welcoming me back to Sanctuary.
The whole "Malignant are corrupted by Lilith" thing really killed the whole sympathetic demon story arc that they created with the base game's storyline.
Cool video, regardless of what state the game is in or whether I'm compelled to play, it's nice to have these videos and still have the story well told
Beat the campaign yesterday and it was as expected. For me it was very short but some of the hearts make the gameplay feel fresh. When D4 released, I started a Sorc and got em to lvl 96. For S1 I waited to start a new character and I current have a lvl 47 Druid. I enjoy it personally. The game’s got a very solid foundation to build upon for future seasons and expansions.
@@mudkip737Druid is in a far better place then Sorc rn so the later end game should be a LOT more fun. Rn I'm going Necro With Minions. Season 2 will be my Sorc season😅
I uninstalled out of boredom. The gimmick is not interesting enough for me to redo the same content. I hit lvl 100 3 days before the season and had enough for a while. But I still watch your lore videos because its good 👍
To be fair it breaks all Logic/Lore if Kormond writes a latter to the "Wanderer who has numberless victories and history behind them" while in reality blizzard makes us do lvl 1 new character that no one knows a Noname yet we cant do the story in eternal sadge .
You don't have to skip the campaign it just needs to be completed/skipped before the Malignant Story happens. If you skip the campaign lorewise your level 1 character has already gone through the campaign
No, what really breaks the immersion is that post campaign you're wanted for the death of Inarius. By who? Prava and The Church. Where's the church? Kyovashad. Where does he ask to meet? He's an asshole, your character is an idiot.
@@UberAwesomeDewd Strenght wise/Logicly wise he is a lvl 1 newbie who just spawned from the cave and got teleported to kievoshad with caveman armor/gear who didn't slay as much demons nor done any side quests in the world so no one knows him "Really" i just don't see any reason not to bring those new Story quests to our eternal realms like PoE does or other ARPGS only reason i see is to make ppl relvl and see new Transmog at the battlepass and buy it , if they want ppl to take the game more siriusly they need to think deeply on Their so called "Innovation"(Mount+ open world) That's basicly all they did imao
Its refreshing hearing lore and narrative, instead of constatn complaints of buffs, debuffs, thumbnails of " i am uninstalling Diablo" and all that crap.
@@NyxVellum I agree to most of those complains though: the huge nerf, the horse, stash space, resistances, etc. But I still play the game, it's still fun. When I get bored, I just take a break, instead of acting like it's the end of the world and rage post on Reddit. Lol. I'm pretty sure a lot of those rage posters are still playing the game. What about you? How do you feel about the game issues?
I like the idea of these malignants. I wish they made each tier worst with a rising pandemic of the malignant.... similar to helltides but Have areas grow in an outbreak we must contain.
@@NyxVellum From what I read, they admitted that S1 will be lacking. Not defending them. But future versions would have more lore, monsters and characters. Should be a new update to fix some of the issues of their s1 patch, in 2 weeks. According them on last weeks campfire.
The Truth is...once again Lilith is blamed for something she honestly didn't have a hand it doing. Humans seem to use her as the icon for Why they do evil because she is a demon....blah blah. Inarius is an Angel so he has to be good....I'm sorry but no he's don't dirty more then what I have seen and read of Lilith. Lilith still seems to be getting the short end of all this....I will be shocked if Blizzard doesn't show Lilith being innocent in all of this....seriously she is taking the Dr Manhattan, Code Geass Lelouch. She trying to help us fight back and we so hell bend on her being evil when after watching this story unfold...she is not evil at all. IMO.
She's the daughter of Hatred and in her wake chaos ensued. All those villagers went mad because of her(You know the one that we start in). Not that she cared what happened and don't give me any nonsense its for preparing Sanctuary against Hell. She also let a human a so called Mother of Sanctuary get eaten alive by wolves and all she had to say was "Let the weak fend for themselves." If she truly wanted to help us she wouldn't be driving people to do these horrible things and this whole "sin" thing or even forcing the player character(The wanderer) to have her blood. Its messed up. Whos to say she wouldn't just cause even more havoc on Sanctuary if she consumed her father's essence and became more powerful and anyone that died in the crossfire is irrelevant to her. Donan's son didn't matter to her, he was just a vessel for astaroth to be in. There would be others who would be "sacrificed" if it was what Lilith needed in her plans. She's not a good person and she is not the savior she likes to project. Kinda like Inarius but he was tortured for a crap long time and as Lorath said "Turns you into an arse". Both of them are similar in that acting like good people but really aren't looking out for us. Lilith is a demon, she can't be trusted. Its understandable to trust an Angel but as we know Inarius is a bad egg. TLDR: The creators of Sanctuary can't be trusted. Calling Lilith not evil is just ignoring what she has done.

We’re in a war, would you rather have a bunch of untrained militia soldiers with bright blue shirts and a bullseye on their back as your warriors, or strong military trained, hard working marines with experience and potential? It sounds messed up when I say it like this but she IS right in that regard. Does that make her truly evil, or realistic? Think Omni man from invincible. In order to get their perfect society they needed to kill off the weak so the species could thrive. It’s the same case here. She had us at a checkmate when she imprisoned us with the soulless eye, she had no idea mephisto was helping us so for all she knew she could of kept us trapped in there, yet she wanted us to guide humanity while she stepped off to the shadows, offering her own guidance to us should we need it, or protection should we desire it. Also the guy she fed to the wolves was a cathedral of light priest, a group of followers of Inarius and sworn enemies of Lilith. That’s like saying a US soldier is evil for killing an enemy soldier that’s at war with the US. Yorin was a means to an end, she just got back after being banished, is pretty much abandoned by most of the demons from hell after she’s killed some to save us in the past (again as a collective whole, back when we were nephilim) she had very few strings to pull. He’s also the son of a high memeber of the cathedral of light (Donan) the priest that died to the villagers, priest of the cathedral of light. Do you see the pattern here? She is against Inarius, people who follow him, despite being her children, are her enemies and she knows that. Her actions may make her look like she’s evil but her goal in the long run is honestly far from evil. Why else would she abandon her demonic heritage for us? FYI, what I’m about to say was from a TH-cam comment so take this with a grain of salt bc I’ve tried to confirm it by a quick Google search but I can’t find a post talking about it on Reddit or informative articles etc, but I heard an Angel pretty much wiped half of humanity and would of finished the job if it weren’t for another angel convincing them to give humanity a chance. The point is not everything is black and white, Angels by the looks of it, due to holding no love for humanity, would probably have the same if not more human casualties. Again I can’t confirm it, wish I’d of played the previous games to know, but I wouldn’t put all my trust on angels being 100% good, or the supposed “angels good, demons bad” spiel. Just saying
I've never seen such a weak lore regarding a season... I didn't even feel interested to start the maligant quest.. didn't even bother..Cormund the effing Cormund talks so soft and so slow I could barely stand.. The monters aren't terrying, not fun, nothing good about them... I think i saw Varshan once he died so fast i only knew after i saw his heart in my inventory.. I could used his heart coz the malignant heart i already had was better... Never saw him again, never met Cormund again... I hears there's Echo of Varshan I'm not sure... For the sake of having a season they just give it a name and add a pinch of salt... Lazy fckin Blaizzard

The seasonal narrative was pretty good, but executed poorly. I wish they would have involved more characters or gave us more lore.
I wasn't expecting much. If I had one wish it would have been to get more information on the Malignant in 1236.
