- After a former console Any% PB of 4:55.247, I was able to clutch out the Both Quests WR! Just like my 4:54.931 Any% on Original Hardware, I achieved this in the practice room of PACE Summer 2023, which was very hype. I saved an extra framerule going into second quest 8-1 since my 8-4 in my first quest was really good, so all I needed for WR at that point was 8-3 FPG and 1 frame walljump. Sub 8 is under half a second away at this point, so hopefully that will be my next PB in this category!

This game is nearly 40 years old, and people are still setting insane records. Absolutely bonkers. 🤘

You just need this run, an additional pl8-1 in one of the two quests, and a 2 accel 8-4 in second quest for sub 8 lol, good luck.

It is much riskier, but you save 1 frame rule if you do it this way plus FPG
the pipe jumps don't save or lose any time, and they make it harder to do. 4-1's just kind of a boring level, so niftski adds extra tricks in for swag
Ah, didn't see it was 4-1. Since they were talking about a tight pipe jump I just assumed it was 8-2 haha
Most of the pipe jumps don't save any time, but they aren't as hard as they look (for Niftski anyway). But the pipe jump in 8-2 is necessary to save the frame rule, and it is much harder than it looks.

Maybe it’s just the capture card or whatever they used to record the TV.
